Cadouin, Paunat, Tremolat and various other villages in the Perigord Noir have Night Markets.
Night markets are very social occasions and they are nothing like the morning markets that France is so famous for. Tables and chairs are erected in the market squares of the village and around these are food stalls selling anything from foie gras duck and goats cheese salads to pizzas!
A whole variety of food is available which you buy and take to the tables together with your wine (also available at the markets) you sit with locals and /or other holiday makers and enjoy the ambience of your surrounding. There is usually live music and dancing. It is a very relaxed evening of entertainment.
