Dragon Longboat Racing, Nan, Thailand
Mid August to end October / early November
The dragon longboats hold up to 60 rowers. Practicing on the river Nan commences mid August with a schedule of racing culminating in the final regatta for the Kings Cup at the end October / beginning November. Up to 175 highly decorated boats take part in a very competitive but friendly manner. Many festivities also take place in the Town with streets closed to traffic. A wonderful event not to be missed.
