Description
Located in the heart of Devon this luxury self catering camping pod with private hot tub is the perfect romantic getaway for couples (two peas in an eco-pod, anyone?!) seeking a rejuvenating escape from their busy modern lives.
Deceptively compact and tastefully furnished with all the latest mod- cons this luxury glamping pod delivers you right into the midst of the beautiful Devonshire countryside while keeping you attractively cocooned in state-of-the art comfort and convenience.
Throw open the stylish bi-fold doors and there it is: your own private portion of gorgeous Devon countryside! Inside this charming, cedar-clad EcoPod in Devon, you will find a host of elegantly integrated features. The ultra-modern German kitchen includes a fridge, gas hob and electric fan oven. The bathroom boasts a powerful gas- fired shower, toilet and mounted sink unit, and a large towel radiator. Universal underfloor heating ensures pervasive cosiness. From the elegant dining area you can gaze out across the soothingly extensive private lawn. Large, stylish bi-fold doors open onto a decked entrance and a picnic bench ornamented by a large parasol. Next to the picnic table is the private hot tub, where, adjusting its modulated lighting to suit your mood, you can lie back in the effervescent warmth and and let your cares drift away (you probably know what to do in a hot tub but there we are). And feel free to fire up the coal barbecue when clement weather begs alfresco dining.
Back inside, kick back (I think that means relax) on the snuggery sofa bed and watch your favourite movies on the pods vast 50-inch Smart 3D HDTV (the pod includes a small selection of our favourite films; we hope some of them are yours too!). If movie-watching sounds a little passive you can always pick up the PS4 console and challenge your pod-partner to put their gaming skills to the test.
We really are the Best Glamping Pod in Devon!
Situated in the beautiful south hams region of Devon, Sunridge EcoPod is close to the Salcombe Coast and Dartmoor National Park. So why not book the perfect Devon EcoPod holiday and indulge yourself to the utmost? (Thats rhetorical, by the way; you should!)
INSIDE SUNRIDGE ECOPOD:
The interior is gorgeously modern.
Delectably endowed with a sleek, state-of-the-art German kitchen (those Germans and their kitchens, eh?!), gas-fired power shower and a super-snug dining/lounge area (complete with sofa bed and a huge 50-inch Smart 3D HDTV with Freeview), your cute cedar-clad capsule looks out onto a smooth half-acre expanse of private lawn flanked by billowing wooded hedgerows. Stylish bi-folding doors open onto a soft gravel picnic area with a large picnic table and flowering 3 meter parasol equipped with discreet LED down lights. Additional colour LED lighting gives you the power to precisely illuminate your evening according to your mood. And free WIFI means you can check in with civilisation from anywhere inside the Devon EcoPod and its immediate, exquisitely manicured environs.
THE 3D SNUG:
Close the bi-folds and lose yourself (temporarily) in your very own mini 3D Home Cinema, the perfect place to hunker down with a movie (flung onto a huge 50 inch Smart 3D HDTV), play video games (we have the latest PS4 games console) or merely to cosy-up (or snuggle-down, whichever comes most naturally) on the sofa bed and gaze at the artfully illuminated night time garden space through those pristine bifold doors. We have a small selection of 3D movies and games but feel free to bring your own!
OUTSIDE SUNRIDGE ECOPOD:
Beyond the UK holiday pod, the picnic table, and the hot tub, is a lush profusion of untamed Devon countryside. Whether for pure relaxation or because you're combining work and pleasure (maybe your work is your pleasure, lucky you) why not sit on the private lawn in the shade of the sumptuous hedgerows and let the desultory musings of your only neighbours - the squirrels, badgers, foxes and birds etc - lull you into an exquisite sense of calm? Seriously, why not?

Location description
The South Hams is England's most outstanding area of natural beauty and you could be in the heart of it!
Minutes from Sunridge, there are beaches to die for (though we hope it wont come to that). Many remain virtually deserted all-year round. Some are so beautiful filmmakers fight to put them in their movies. Mothercombe Beach, for example, a mere five minutes from Sunridge Retreats, formed the backdrop for Emma Thompsons Oscar-winning adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, as did nearby Saltram House, a magnificent Georgian pile, once the largest stately home in Devon. On your doorstep miles and miles of country trails meander along the length of the River Erme. And the dramatic south west coast path continually vouchsafes views that are quite literally breathtaking.
Local villages brim with character and idiosyncratic charm. For the gourmet, food could not be fresher nor more tantalisingly diverse. Sample the vast range of locally grown meat, fish, vegetables and dairy products, all of it of world-class quality. Whether you want pheasant or quail, Sea Bass (my own personal favourite, not that you care a fig for my preferences) or John Dory (who?), free range home-cured bacon or Devonshire clotted cream, it's all here, and just minutes from Sunridge.
This sumptuous corner of Devon preserves a history books worth of rural traditions as well as providing manifold opportunities for invigorating leisure activity. Local towns and villages showcase a magnificent range of eighteenth and nineteenth-century architecture, while hundreds of antique shops and boutiques give the region its unique, quintessentially English flavour. Youll be forgiven for feeling that you've been taken back in time, especially on a chilly winter's night when youre sat by a crackling fire in the old village pub, slurping the foam off a pint of one of the regions many internationally acclaimed bespoke ales (Im getting well jel just telling you about it). Down alleyways and under archways of the older villages like Dartmouth you will find a plethora of craft boutiques, patisseries, local jewellers and organic-only butchers and cafes. Take a seat in one of the latter and treat yourself to an authentic Devonshire cream tea made with lashings of jam from locally grown strawberries (the gym can wait, and wait, and wait) And be assured, the gastro-pubs and restaurants in our region are as accomplished as any you'll find in London, and all of them scarcely a stones throw (alright, Im assuming youre very good at throwing stones) from your doorstep. Whether youre dining in Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Modbury, Noss Mayo, or Yealmpton, youre guaranteed to find stunning (indeed, frequently award-winning) locally-sourced food served with a smile (as opposed to a sneer, as you so often get in benighted regions like London) and accompanied, moreover, by some of the finest sea and river views in the world. What more do you need? Seriously, what more do you need?
