STOUPA is a seaside village of Messinian Mani with very ancient history which can charm the visitor all the seasons of the year. Stoupa is packed with great restaurants, sea food tavernas, bars and nightclubs, ATM bank, as well as plenty of shops and places of historical interest.
Stoupa was once just a small fishing harbour, but its fine beaches, the best in the region, have made it a popular small holiday resort since the nineteen-eighties.
But Stoupa is not only about family holidays. It is the gateway to some wonderful opportunities for exploration to the magnificent scenery, on foot, by bike or car and the ancient sites of Olympia, Sparta and Mistra are easily reached from here.

Walking Holidays: there are many old footpaths and the beautiful Vyrou and Noupanti Gorges.
Cycling holidays: There is a paved path along the coastline between Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos. It is specifically for either pedestrian or bicycle use, and is about 2 km in length. It offers wonderful sea views with a mountain background.
Diving holidays: In Kardamili village you will find the Kardamili Diving Center which will give you the opportunity to discover the wonders of the underwater life.
Off-Road holidays: Vassiliki Forest, one of the greater black pine forests in Europe, is easily accessible with an SUV from Saidona and Milia villages, an alternative way to wander in Taygetos mountain.

More than 200 Byzantine and post Byzantine small churches with magnificent frescoes are scattered in the greater Mani area in Greece.
Worth visiting are also the famous Mani towers such as Douraki at Kastania, Kitriniari at Exohori, Mourtzinou at Old Kardamyli and Christea at Ag. Dimitrios.
