Description
This house is located in an old courtyard dating back to 1800.
It has got 5 beds, there are 2 rooms (a bedroom and a living room with 3 beds) each room has got a bathroom (2 bathrooms in total with one shower) and a well equipped kitchen. Washing machine, air conditioning in each room, internet, TV sat, microwave, bed linen and towels (a set of 3 towels each person) provided each week.
There is free parking outside the house.
Underground stop just in front of the house so in 4 minutes you are at Salerno station and city centre.
It is only 10 min walk from the train station, the touristic harbour and the city centre.
All facilities nearby, there is also a nice open market in the area and it is only 5 min walk from the sandy beach (there are free sandy beaches and paying beaches with swimmimg pool). Moreover there is a playground area for children just overlooking the ocean.
Possibility of having meals directly in the house proided by a local restaurant, ask for info.

Location description
From Salerno in less than 30 min you are in Pompei, Ercolano, Greek archeological site of Paestum. In 35 min to Naples by train and in only 5 min by bus or by car you reach the first village of the Amalfi coast, the village of "Vietri sul mare", very well known for its famous artcrafts works: potteries.
50 min by train to Sorrento and to Royal Palace of Caserta.
There are also good train, bus connections.
The mini cruise from the harbour just in front of the railway station of Salerno to Amalfi coast (not in winter) Positano and the isle of Capri is really wonderful. Moreover, there is night life because there are cosy pubs, locals in the old city centre.
Other activities
The city of Salerno has also got many attractions, the oldest medical school of medieval period is here, the magnificient cathedral in Norman style, the fantastic vieuw of both Amalfi coast and Cilento coast from the old Arechi Castle at the top of the hill, the narrow streets of the old city centre with artcraft shops, many nice churches of all periods and at least but not last one of the longest walking by the sea in Italy.

SPECIAL from the 5th of NOVEMBER till the 31st of January there is the wonderful EVENT in SALERNO: "LUCI d'ARTISTA" Spectacular lights works around the city give you the impression of being in a romantic and suggestive fairy atmosphere. The narrow streets of the city centre, the medieval arechi castle, the cathedral and the sea with the walking along the beach are more and more fascinating.
I can be your guide if you want!!
If you come here in spring it is the best time to enjoy the area, to relax without a lot of tourists, for nice walking along the beach, the weather is fantastic and why not to sunbath and swimming!!!

When you arrive in Salerno station I come and fetch you to the houses for free.
IMPORTANT
if you decide to come for the end of APRIL there is the characteristic medieval market in the old city centre with a lot of stalls and musicians attractions to let you live an extraordinary medieval experience. In Salerno, "Back to the Cross found" 29/30 April, 1 May 2011 DOWNTOWN SALERNO.
This year one of the most popular events at Salerno.
The show found the crucifix, will be an opportunity to rediscover the 29 and 30 April and 1 May, the places, traditions, colours, flavours and culture of the medieval city.
More than 30 sites involved in the historic center, 400 performers and figures that appassioneranno large and small, 10 the colossal stands in medieval costumes, with the revival of traditional crafts, a total of 100 booths with products of local quality all topped off with exquisite taste.
And then, again, thousands of plants, flowers, woods, recipes, with the return of "Mascot Arborea 'the fair, Marigold: plant symbol of the glorious and ancient School of Medic.
Staying at my house is ideal for those who wish to enjoy a nice, safe city facing the ocean, with all facilities that a city can offer but at the same time being close to places of the area of great tourist interest as Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Paestum, the Reggia (Royal Palace) of Caserta....

By train: in front of Salerno railway station take bus n.25, in 5 minutes you arrive at my house
Anyway if you come by train i come and fetch you for free
By car: exit motorway Salerno city centre then go straight to the waterfront and turn left
after 4 min turn left again......

I also offer TRANSFER FROM and TO NAPLES AIRPORT so in only 45 min you are at house LILIANA avoiding wasting time for buses or trains. Contact for prices.
Once here I can help you in renting a car or renting a scoooter (it is the best way to explore Amalfi coast!!!!!)
