    Description

    Greenbank is full of character. It was built in 1850 and is a listed building, but it has been restored and modernised to the highest standards.

    It accommodates 10 comfortably in 6 bedrooms: 3 double, 1 twin and two single. There are 4 bathrooms in total.

    There is about half an acre of garden with dog-proof fence and gates and a gas barbecue available from May to September.

    We provide solid fuel for the real fires.

    In the kitchen there is a small table with seating for 4. The dining room seats 10 around a large table and the kitchen has everything needed for large-scale cooking.

    Location description

    Lochgoilhead has been a holiday destination for over 100 years. With its access by sea, it was popular with wealthy Glaswegians visiting by paddle steamer in the Victorian era. Now, there is a road and access is relatively easy. It remains a gem nestled around the loch behind the Arrochar alps.

    Other activities

    Canoe tours, boat hire and cycle hire within the village. Leisure activities including golf and 25m indoor pool available to non-residents at the local hotel.

    Directions

    Driving time is 1h 15 minutes from Glasgow airport or 1h 25m from the city centre. The last 6 miles is single track road, steep in places. Snow chains are strongly recommended for winter visitors.
