    Description

    Tigh Mo Mhiann (Gaelic for approximately "house of dreams") is a former blacksmith's cottage built in the early 1800s. It has been restored and modernised and is now a very comfortable base for exploring this spectacular region.

    The cottage is double-glazed and has electric heating throughout. The bathroom and kitchen were fully refurbished in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

    We have ample parking and garden, though you should only attempt to laze in the garden in windy conditions otherwise the midges will eat you!

    There is a large kitchen-dining room and a spacious sitting room both with solid fuel fireboxes (coal provided). The bathroom is downstairs.

    Upstairs - (narrow steep stairs - not suitable for infirm / elderly or toddlers) there is a double bedroom and a room with bunk beds.

    In the cottage, we have a telephone for your use and free wifi internet connection.

    Directions

    You don't need a car as the West Highland Line and the Roybridge platform are just at the end of the garden. This links to Fort William or all stations to Glasgow. Overnight sleeper from London.

    By road from Glasgow, it takes about 3 hours through fantastic scenery including Loch Lomond and Glencoe.
