    Rowan cottage is extremely well placed for you to enjoy the magical island of Mull, whether you wish to relax or be more energetic and climb Mull`s only munro. It is not uncommon to see the white tailed eagle soar above the cottage as the local hide is only a short journey from the cottage.

    Salen bay is only a five minute walk where seals and otters are regularly seen. Tobermory, the main town on the island is only 10 miles to the north from Salen and the island of Iona can be reached from the southern end of the island.
