How was your holiday?: We booked a short Autumn break just myself, husband and dog - coast walking. The lodge was lovely warm and comfortable. We felt right at home. Staff were really welcoming and helpful - they booked us table at local inn with the best view. Many lovely dog friendly pubs/cafes and some wonderful walks close by. It was very relaxing - just what we needed thank you!

How was your holiday?: We have been coming to Mineshop for 5 years, it is great for being in easy reach for exploring other areas. The accommodation has just what you need and you are welcomed by a cream tea and most importantly for us it is a great place and location for dogs. Nice stroll through the woods to the local pub, looking forward to next time

How was your holiday?: We stayed in Kallowen cottage which was pleasant. Holiday was lovely & peaceful - Dogs Jeffery & Penny enjoyed both the river & the walks to have some fun, they were a little surprised when they came across the pigs as they had only seen cows & horses at home. Had a few rainy days, but did not bother the Mutts! Or us really, just nice to stay and be out of the rat race for a week. A warm welcome was had when we first arrive, helpful & friendly.
We will book again. Highly recommended

    Hello,
We had lovely time in your Rostowan villa.
The place is stunning and we couldnt have asked for more.
We will definitely take a look at your other accommodations or even think about going back to Rostowan.

How was your holiday?: We stayed at the Parada cottage for our summer holiday this year - what a peaceful and welcome retreat. Welcomed by a small black kitten, ducks and a fancy rooster, we later met the very friendly and helpful Jess and Ben who help run the show. Located in a wooded valley with footpath through to Crackington Haven - about a 20-25 minute walk. We had our own raised deck terrace overlooking the accessible grass field and a lovely view of trees opposite. You can hear the stream running through the valley. It was just great and of course, body boarding at the beach followed by dinner at the fabulous friendly Coombe Barton Inn is such a tonic. Also can recommend a surfing lesson with Freewave at Widemouth and body boarding at Trebarwith Strand.
Thanks again to the Mineshop Cottages team.

How was your holiday?: Perfect for what we were after. A warm welcome, the cream tea was a great touch, thanks.
Easy to get to the local bay, but the on-site field is the best-bit perfect for families to play or dogs to stretch their legs. Would definitely book again!

What a lovely holiday we had. Booking was easy. Cottage was perfect with a yummy cream tea upon arrival and lovely and cozy even during frosty mornings. The morning walk we took to the beach with our dogs was perfect and a gorgeous route. Lots of good excursions to tintagel, boscastle, port isaak padstow and less known harbours and bays with glorious walks.
Perfect cottage and holiday location. Thank you.

We did call at the house just past the methodist church to ask for our keys and the man who answered said lots of people did this and wished us a happy holiday. Perhaps you could explain its down a long lane.

Claire terry patrick & catherine nightingale plus lottie & aiden dogs. X

How was your holiday?: We had a wonderful relaxing week staying at Rostowan. Such a beautiful quiet area and lovely walks along the coast or down to the beach with the dogs. St Mawes is beautiful and the surrounding areas. Cottage is amazing. Hope to go back again next year.

How was your holiday?: We had a fantastic week in Rosey cottage. We chose this cottage as it has an enclosed garden for our dog. The cottage has an amazing view over the valley and river and we loved the fact that we were only a short walk from Crackington Haven beach and a short drive to beautiful Bude. Mineshop is perfectly situated for exploring the amazing north coast which we did plenty of. The weather permitted us to use the terrasse so we fully enjoyed lazy mornings in the sun watching the wildlife before heading out for the day. A perfect place to relax, explore and recharge and come back to again and again.

Fantastic! Mineshop never fails to impress from the friendly booking to the welcome on arrival and to the overall loveliness of the place. I love this superbly dog friendly place and it always feels like I am coming home. This is my third holiday there and will not be my last. Thank you Charlie, Jane and Ben for having me and the boys again. Pache and Jackson had a wonderful time in the fields and the river (at the doorstep) as well as the beaches, they love it as much as I do. See you all again soon!

A fabulous location with easy access to a variety of places to visit. The beach at Crackington Haven was grandson Ben's favourite. Hetty, the chocolate Labrador was in heaven. Our cottage, Parada was comfortable...beds really comfy. The cottage was very well equipped, even down to a corkscrew and bottle opener! Would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely spot and look forward to visiting again.

Just got back from a week at the cottages. It was superb. The kids loved it, the dog loved it and the wife and I loved it. It's such a beautiful place and we're already looking for a chance to get back there. Thanks to all who made our stay so good.

Lovely little "cabin", very clean, bright and airy in a stunning location. Perfect spot for exploring this amazing part of Cornwall. We were left totally to ourselves, so didn't actually get to meet any of the family, but this wasn't a drawback at all. Maybe next time, eh? Great to be so dog friendly, too.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Mineshop, The Old Shippon was the perfect place for a visit to Cornwall in November, a very warm, cosy and well equipped cottage, the cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch and very tasty too.
The dogs loved the garden and lounging around on the decking but given the choice would have spent their whole holiday playing in the stream and meadows - it's a little slice of doggy paradise!!
Looking forward to our next visit to this special place.

Have just returned home from a wonderful two weeks at Mineshop. This has to be one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. The cottage was just as described and the location, well what can I
    say.
I really miss going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the stream. The walk along the path is lovely, don't rush there is so much to take in. We will be definitely going again. Forgot to mention
the cream tea on arrival - just the job!

The Old Shippon was clean, comfortable and well equipped. A lovely cream tea was very welcome on our arrival. The location is fabulous, so peaceful and beautiful. The walk to The beach was idyllic
and, along with the stream side fields, made for excellent dog walking. The walk up to the local shop gave beautiful views over Mineshop.

Thank you for the delicious homemade scones with clotted cream & jam on arrival. A welcoming touch. Kallowen cottage has beautiful green views and the sound of the stream is soothing. Our daughter had fun on the rope swing in the fields. A great base for a relaxing holiday. We loved Sandymouth beach (dog-friendly), Rebel cinema nearby for wet afternoon! Enjoyed evening meals at The Coombe Barton Inn in Crackington Haven. We even took a day trip to the Miniature Pony Centre on Dartmoor & visited Chagford (about an hour away).

We just returned from four amazing days at Kiberick cottage with our dog, Liela. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped! There was plenty of space for the dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, to
run around. The walk to Crackington Haven was picture perfect. A lovely cream tea awaited us on arrival, much appreciated. We will certainly stay there again!

Our four young kids and energetic dog had a fantastic time staying at Old Shippon in early July. And we enjoyed the just long enough walk to the pub (or more importantly, back) ! The welcome and
friendly advice during our stay was brilliant, and the cottage was perfect for all we needed. The location is unique and we will be back - next time for longer.
