    Location description

    Cedar Lodge Park is superbly located in an area of Natural Beauty close to the historic town of Tavistock.

    Tavistock is a thriving market town adjoining the western edge of Dartmoor National Park.

    Attractions include a bustling Pannier Market, recreational facilities, many individual shops and businesses and a hospital. Indeed Tavistock can claim to have everything adding up to a quality of life which would be hard to rival.

    There is plenty do from your doorstep:-
    Walking on Dartmoor, Gliding, Golf - 3 courses within 3 miles, Shopping,

    Seasonal events including Goose Fair in October, Dickensian evening in December.

    Within comfortable reach northwards are beauty spots such as Lynmouth, Lynton, Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Bideford, Appledore, Bude and Tintagel. To the south are Torquay, Paignton, Dartmouth, Looe and Polperro.

    There are fast and regular bus services which link Tavistock with Plymouth only 15 miles away. Plymouth has fast Inter City rail links to London, Bristol and the North and a Ferry Port offering regular ferry services to Roscoff, Brittany and Santander, Northern Spain.

    Directions

    From Tavistock Town square, the civic buildings should be on your right and the church on your left. You will then be facing Drake Road, which is in the middle of two banks.

    Travelling north along Drake road, you will pass under a viaduct.

    Continue for 2 miles, passing the golf club on your right, you will come to the only 's' bend sign, after which take the left fork, signposted Chillaton.

    When you reach the next crossroads you will see Acorn Cottage on the right. Turn Right at the crossroads and the entrance is 30 metres on the right.

The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is not applied towards the rent; however, it is fully refundable within (7) days of your departure, provided the Lodge is left in the same condition you found it.
