    Description

    Casa Elaine is situated on Capistrano Village which is set in beautiful gardens. The apartment has floor to ceiling windows in the lounge leading to a sunny terrace and magnificent views to the sea and mountains. There is a barbeque on the terrace which is ideal for those long lazy holiday meals. It is an ideal spot to while away the hours taking in the fantastic atmosphere of this lovely area.

    The apartment is fully equipped for a self catering holiday. Included is Satellite TV with over 200 channels, including all main English channels plus Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and F1. The kitchen is fully equipped, has a washing machine and is open plan to the lounge. The apartment can sleep four (bed settee in the living room). Air conditioning units are in the lounge and the bedroom.

    Capistrano is situated on the edge of Nerja, a 30 minute walk to the centre of town and 20 minutes to Burriana beach. Nerja is known as 'The jewel in the Crown' of the Eastern Costa del Sol, with lots of fine restaurants and local tapas bars. The main feature of the town is The Balcon de Europa, a promontory in the town centre that dates back to Moorish times and which now hosts a restaurant and panoramic views of the sea and mountains.

    Location description

    THE REGION

    The Costa del Sol is famous for its climate and has lots of sunny days. The Nerja area at the eastern end of the Costa is protected from adverse weather by the Alpuharra mountains. It is ideally suitable for couples with small children and mature couples, also people who enjoy relaxing beach days and walks in the countryside. The spectacular Caves of Maro, a five minute car ride from Nerja, are the second most visited tourist destination in Spain. The weather is mild for most of the year and very warm in July/August.

    Nearby is the famous Pueblo Blanco (white village) of Frigiliana and a little further away, Competa. Nerja is an ideal base from which you can visit Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Malaga city and Seville. A short drive away you can ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The world famous Caves of Nerja are a 5 minute taxi ride, or a pleasant 20 minute walk. The Caves are the second most visited tourist attraction in Spain.

    Nerja is well situated for beach and walking holidays and is an ideal base for visiting places like Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Seville and Malaga city. Skiing is just a 90 minute drive to the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

    There are many festivals throughout the year, most famously is the festival of San Isidro which is celebrated every 15th May with a large procession through the town, led by an oxon, which makes it's way up to the Caves at Maro where a celebration takes place throughout the evening. A sight not to be missed!

    THE AREA

    Nerja dates back thousands of years and this is reflected in its diverse history, from the Moors to the Romans. It is still a busy fishing village and it has developed a beautiful centre full of fine restaurants, shops and bars, There are several beaches, ranging from the quiet and undeveloped Salon Beach, to the famous Burriana Beach with many shops, restaurants and lots of beach activities.

    Deposit/Booking Notes

    Winter bookings of 4 weeks or more (Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb) are 160 per week, 2 sets of linen and towels are provided but no cleaning during your stay.
    A deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking and the balance is due 8 weeks from arrival. The deposit will be returned if you cancel 8 weeks or more before your arrival You can pay into either our UK account or our Spanish account or you can pay in cash on arrival in EUROS. A 50 security deposit is payable on arrival and will be returned at the end of your stay on production of the keys and pool pass
