The Big White House is a detached self-catering Family house located in the village of Greengill; 5 minutes from the market town of Cockermouth in Cumbria. The house can accommodate groups of up to 24 people in 11 bedrooms; many bedrooms have en-suite toilet and wash basin and security boxes for storage of personal belongings.

The Big White House has recently been renovated to the highest standards, and now boasts a huge dining room with large 18' dining table which can seat 24 people. In addition there is now brand new first floor TV lounge with large 50" TV with Blu-Ray home cinema system. In addition all of the bathrooms have now been replaced with the highest quality fittings.

The house is ideal for family parties, get-togethers and corporate meetings; unlike camping barns and hostels the Big White House offers sole use. The House has access to the Northern Lake District including areas such as: Lorton, Keswick and Buttermere, with excellent views over the Solway to Scotland.

The Big White House is fully-central heated, the front door opens into the entrance hall:

Ground Floor
Dining Room: The dining room has a large 18' dining table which seats 24 people; in addition there is also cabinets with hotplates and separate unit with wine chillier unit. Adjacent to the dining room is the snug area.
Snug: This area is adjacent to the dining room and has sofa seating and chairs and electric flame effect fire; making this a great place to relax after a big meal.
Kitchen: Fully-Fitted kitchen complete with two electric ovens, gas hob, two electric grills, two toasters, microwave, constant boiling water vendor, two dishwashers, washing machine and dryer.
Bedroom 1: Double Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 2: Twin Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.
Bedroom 3: Twin Bedroom with En-Suite toilet and washbasin.

Summer House: Located at the edge of the garden with views over the Solway.
Lockup: Secure Container, ideal for the storage of mountain bikes, canoes etc.

Additional Information
All bed linen, towels and fuel are provided. Cot and High Chair are available upon request; however linen is not provided for the cot. Pets are welcome in the accommodation; however there is a charge.

Directions

> From the South: Exit the M6 at J40 (A66) towards Cockermouth and
Workington.
> From the North: Exit the M6 at Carlisle and follow the A595 signed "West" in the city.
> From the A66: Take the A595 (Carlisle) at the roundabout to the west
of Cockermouth.
> At the next roundabout take the A594 (Maryport) look out for a Right turn to Tallentire. (this is a dangerous turn on the crest of a small rise)
> Follow the road all the way through the village of Tallentire (watch out for one way system in village) leave the village and continue until you come to the junction as shown above in the red circle on the attached
map.
> Take the second turning right into the Big White House, parking is to the rear.
