Hennebont Medieval Festival, Hennebont, Brittany, France

    28th and 29th July

The last weekend in July, Hennebont plays host to the medieval festival under the ancient ramparts. From the church down to the river Blavet, there are traditional plays, music, stalls, fire-eaters, stilt walkers ... with plenty of opportunity to snack on some local delicacies.

At the river, there are traditional ancient crafts on display and jousting competitions. The festival takes place over both the days of the weekend, giving plenty of chance to also visit the Haras Nationale - the local national stud dedicated to pure Breton horse breeds.
