Description
Built in 2005 ‘Ionian View’ is a detached, single storey villa with its own private pool. The house has been fully inspected and approved by the Greek Tourism association and holds an EOT licence.
Outside the property has a spacious terrace and barbecue area, also loungers around the small but perfectly formed pool. There is plenty of space for al fresco dining with the main terrace easily accessible form the kitchen/living room. The two bedrooms also have direct access onto the terrace. The larger twin bedroom offers an en suit shower/wet room and the other double bedroom has use of the main bathroom with full size bath and shower over. There is a sofa bed that can accommodate two further guests in the living area but the villa can be configured for sleeping in several ways to best suit your group. Apart from all the expected essentials, the kitchen also has a washing machine and a slimline dishwasher.
Based on the outskirts of the village of Vlahata, mainly of Greek residents, the villa gives privacy and peace yet close to the local amenities. The nearby beaches of Trapezaki and Lourdas (which has an EU blue flag) are only 5 mins drive. The views that the villa commands are without a doubt amongst the best on the island from a private home, in front, stretching out across the Ionian Sea to the Island of Zante, to the rear Mt. Anos and to the west the castle of St George, illuminated at night, to which you can look for stunning sunsets almost every evening.
Situated approximately 20 mins from both Argostoli to the west and Scala to the east, Ionian view makes the perfect base for exploring all that Kefalonia has to offer. It's modern interior is both comfortable and family friendly and suited to parties of all ages.

Location description
Both Lourdas and Trapazaki beaches are 1.5km from the villa or a 5 minute drive.
They consist of 3 bays ajoining to make up 3km of white sand and shingle.
There a few small family run restaurants/bars and a mini market along the beach and lifeguard on duty in high season at Lourdas. Sun beds and umbrellas are also available at local prices. They are beautiful beaches and never seems to be overcrowded, with good access by road, there are also lovely walks around this area.
Directions
Argostoli airport is 12km or 20 minutes by car and is an easy drive. Car hire is essential and can be arranged direct from the airport although local taxis will cost approx 35 euros to the villa and a car can be arranged from there.

There is also a safe. A complimentary welcome hamper is provided on arrival. Outside the villa there is a pergola giving a undercover eating area with tables and chairs for 6 people. Sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool. The pool is for private use to villa guests and measures 8m x 4.5m. Entrance to the pool is by way of solid tiled steps into the shallow end and the depth is up to 1.6m. Maid service: Towels and bed linen are included and are changed once during a 1 week duration when the villa is also cleaned. The pool is cleaned and tested 3 times in a 1 week period. Thankfully because of more modern Greek plumbing system, there is no need to put your toilet paper in bins at the villa!! Please note beach towels are not provided. |
