    Location description

Guests always say that staying at Casa Lia is a really relaxing experience. It's up to you how many of the Algarve's attractions you take advantage of. It is great to have a self-catering holiday home as your base, so that in the warmth of the Algarve sun you can come and go at your own pace.

Tavira boasts many local Portuguese shops, plus supermarkets like Pingo Doce, Mini Preco and Lidl to name just some.

The Tavira Gran-Plaza is a brand new shopping centre with cinema, the Continente Hypermarket which is great, lots of clothes and electrical shops. There is plenty of parking and you cannot miss it! It's the perfect complement to the small typically Portuguese shops in the town itself.

For a day's shopping you can also visit Forum Algarve in Faro with the Jumbo Hypermarket and 200 shops.

Or why not travel 20 minutes east to Vila Real de Santo Antonio and pick up some great linen? The Spanish border is close by.

Tavira is pretty and unspoilt with cobbled streets and lots of restaurants. It is lively in the summer months, but not crowded, with entertainment in the main square in the evenings. Sit, enjoy an ice cream and watch the world go by before wending your way home to your own Algarve villa. When you get home you might want to enjoy a drink beside the pool before retiring to the comfort of your air conditioned bedroom.

Manta Rota is close by with its good selection of restaurants. In the high season there open air concerts on the beach.

Santa Luzia is a pretty little fishing harbour with great fish restaurants on the harbour.

    Other activities

The kids will love a day out at one of the Algarve's many attractions like the Aqua Show water park in Quarteira, or how about swimming with the dolphins at Zoo Marine? Other local activities include fishing, walking, swimming

Of course the Algarve is a golfer's paradise.
There are 5 superb 18 hole golf courses located within a 15-20 min drive from the villa making it especially suitable for golfing holidays,

Benamor(par 71), is at the entrance to Cabanas. Quinta da Ria is a 10 min drive, also 18 holes, but a par 72, 6,110m. It has stunning views of the sea and mountains.

Quinta da Cima is again a 10 min drive away with 18 holes, par 72, 6256m this time.

Castro Marim is a little further, a 20 min drive and an 18 hole, par 71, 5265m. A challenging course for golfers of all standards.

There is an American style Jack Nicklaus course built about 15 minutes drive away – Monte Rei Golf and Country Club.

The Algarve has eighteen other courses Vilamoura, Quinta da Lago, all about 40mins direct drive on the Motorway A22. Of Course with Spain only 20mins away there are also many more courses just across the border in Spain.

Super! Klare Weiterempfehlung auf allen Ebenen!

Casa Lia- A wonderful villa for that very special holiday. 5*★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Casa Lia Relaxing, tranquil, quiet and comfortable yet only 20 minutes from Tavira town, Casa Lia is ideally located for those of us that want everything, including wonderful 360 degree rural views and privacy. The villa is home from home, spacious and well equipped. The extensive patio with the inviting pool is wonderful. We ate every meal outside enjoying the views and peace. We BBQ’d on the substantial, built in BBQ during the spectacular sunsets and under the extraordinarily bright stars. Our initial contact with the owners was inviting and informative and made our booking and travel arrangements straightforward, including car hire. The manager on site was most helpful and welcoming, purchasing initial groceries to help with our late arrival and escorting us in the dark through exciting countryside to Casa Lia. We would recommend being escorted as it is tricky to find on the first visit, especially in the dark. We highly recommend Casa Lia and the surrounding area for a comfortable, relaxing and most enjoyable holiday. All amenities are in an easy and interesting 20 minute countryside drive.

    Secluded Hillside Villa 5* ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This villa is about 10 minutes drive inland from the lovely town of Tavira near the Conceicao forest. It is secluded and very private which means that some planning for groceries shopping is needed. Nearest big Supermarket is 15-20 minutes away but there are 2 Fridges for this reason. The Villa itself is equipped to high standard and is bigger than it appears in the photographs with full air conditioning and a smallish but ample pool. I would say this is well suited to a larger family group who value their location and privacy rather than a group looking for nightlife and bars. Having said this Tavira has a massive choice of restaurants and seems to have some form of public entertainment most evenings in the summer...but parking in the town is limited. If you are happy with your own company and looking for a good location to explore the Eastern Algarve and even Seville, this is a great choice. Recommended.

    Fantastic Villa 5* ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This is an amazing villa that is even better than the pictures, the views are outstanding and you have no immediate neighbours, so it's perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The villa has everything you would ever need, from games, to umbrellas, coffee maker, grill, books etc etc. Debbie (the owner) is very helpful and very quick to respond to any questions you may have. Denise who looks after the property meets you when you get there so you can follow her to the villa. She is a lovely friendly helpful lady, who is available to you any time throughout your stay. I rarely write reviews but I can't recommend this villa enough, we had a fantastic two weeks, thanks Debbie.

The area is very peaceful and there is lots of space.

Our third visit to Casa Lia which must say something! We love the well equipped house and it's lovely garden and pool which we can happily spend many hours in. We love the location, away from the crowds with far reaching views and the peace and quiet. We love the friendly nature of the owner and the people who look after the villa and pool who are always so helpful. There really is nothing we don't love about the place and we will be back!

    The Most Relaxing Vacation ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

We stayed 2 weeks at Casa Lia and really enjoyed it. The house is spacious and we especially liked the outside area at the pool a lot. Since there are no direct neighbors it was wonderful that the kids were able to play at the pool and did not disturb anyone with noise. It is so peaceful out there and we were really able to relax! The drive from the main road (125) to the house is quiet a bit (about 15 minutes), but that is ok. Our favorite beaches were Cabanas and Praia Verde.

Our timeout from the stress and everyday life in Casa Lia

    By Volker H on 19-Oct-2017

Steffi und Volker • Date of Stay: September 2017 •

    Amazing Holiday! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Joanne T on 14-Sep-2017

We were let down by the villa we had originally wanted to book in Spain and so had a last minute scramble to find somewhere to stay within our budget. Debbie was so helpful when I spoken to her and assured me that the Villa sounded like just what we needed. The pictures looked amazing and so we were quite excited. The whole process was very easy, We arrived in Faro and picked up our hire car, we called Mitchell and he was happy with us going shopping first and then meeting him. We found Aldi in Tavira with no trouble and bought a few bits to see us through the first few days and then met Mitchell for the final drive up to the villa. When we arrived, after the slightly hairy drive with narrow roads (I have never driven a LH drive car before) we arrived at the most amazing and beautiful location. The Villa was clean, light, bright and airy. With no immediate neighbours it was also very peaceful. There was plenty of space both inside and outside and amazing views from the roof terrace. You could even see the sea on the horizon. The rooms were all comfortable and clean, despite my visitor (I found a gecko on the wall but he kept hiding somewhere so I couldn't put him out) I slept very well. My friends found it a little too quiet, but they both live in a city so are not used the silence. We travelled to Tavira on 2 days of our short stay and found it to be a beautiful place, the people were all very friendly and the food in bar/restaurant Matias was amazing. We also took a drive to Pedras D'el Rei which was very easy to find with stunning beaches. it seemed very popular though with the beach still being packed when we arrived at 5.30pm. All in all we had an amzing break and are already thinking of returning next year and recommending it to our family and friends.

    Fantastic Peaceful and spacious well equipped villa ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Sally F on 02-Sep-2017
Just returned from a short stay at Casa Lia. We absolutely loved it. Travelling with two teenage boys we all had plenty of our own space as lots of room inside and outside. Everything was there that you needed even down to the picnic box & cold blocks for when we were out for the day to the water parks. There were plenty of towels, plastic pots and all conceivable kitchen items. The villa whilst peaceful is down an unmade track for the last 800 metres. We had a low slung sports car which was not ideal. Plenty of places to visit within a 30-45 drive. There are large supermarkets within a 15 minute drive. The house manager Mitchell was very helpful and the check in process was very easy including liaising with Debbie the owner who was extrembly helpful. We would love to come back again.

    Away from it all! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Chris B on 31-Aug-2017
Our second stay at Casa Lia was just as good as we had remembered! The spacious villa is set in a stunning location, the only real noise from the cicadas in the trees! The facilities are excellent, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Mitchell the house manager is charming, speaks good English and is always ready to help. We made good use of the pool which is attended to regularly and spent many happy evenings barbecuing and enjoying a glass or two of wine bought at very reasonable prices from Lidl in Tavira. The geckos caused a great deal of amusement with their nightly antics. The terrace is the perfect place for star gazing and if you are there at the right time you may see shooting stars as we did on both occasions we have visited. We also enjoyed excellent tapas at Pausa and D' gusta in Tavira, having booked these from the UK as we know how popular they are in peak season. Our favourite beach remains Terra Estreita, reached by ferry from Santa Luzia. All in all a great holiday and we look forward to returning another year. •

Lovely family villa set in quiet location, ideal for 6 with lots of space to spread out & relax ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Stephen Y on 22-Aug-2017
My wife and I have been holidaying in Tavira for over 12 years now and really love the area. This year we decided to holiday with our daughter, partner and grandchildren aged 5 & 2 and chose this villa for our stay. Whilst there are steps to access the property from the driveway, the rest of the villa and pool area are all on 1 level which is ideal for little 1's to be able to move around without taking a tumble. The kitchen and lounge are spacious and open plan which again makes it easier for food preparation and chatting/relaxing to be the norm. You can dine inside or out to suit you but we dined outside as the table area is fully shaded in the morning and evening. Lunchtime, half the area is shaded but we just moved the chairs onto that side and managed to get all 6 of us in the cool. There is lots of space around the pool for 6 loungers, tables and parasol and still have room to be able play some games too or there is a large sun terrace area on the roof where you can have a kick about or dry washing out of the way. The pool is lovely and the kids loved being able to splash about to cool off whenever they wanted as did the adults !! There are 3 or 4 steps to get in/out and then the pool slopes quickly away to it's max. depth - I'm 5ft 10 and could stand all the way around no problem. We also liked that the floor outside by the pool doesn't become too hot to walk on in bare feet in the afternoon unlike some of the terracotta tiles. Again, great for the little 1's and adults alike - no need for any mad dashes getting out of the pool or taking a breather from the loungers, risking stubbed toes etc !! The property is well presented with lots of extra bed linen and towels in abundance. Each room has aircon and some have ceiling fans too. In this property, you have to pay extra for electricity used during your stay and the owner estimates a party of 6 will normally use about £7/£9 per day so just bear this in mind. Most properties we have stayed in previously include this in their pricing but here it's your choice to some degree how much you use. The property is well located for access to supermarkets, meals out in Tavira and the motorway are all within a 15/20 mins drive. The property manager Mitchell is very approachable and went out of his way to help us if we needed something, he is only about 20 mins away and Ron & Denise - a lovely couple who manage the pool cleaning are just up the road. All in all we had a lovely family holiday.

Beautiful location and well equipped Villa ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Shaun B on 12-Aug-2017
We spent 2 weeks in July 17 and had a great time. The VIlla is very homely with everything needed for a peaceful holiday. It is remote, but that's what we wanted, although it's only a 15 minute drive to Tavira. Outside space is great with stunning views across the valleys. It is in quite a windy spot which is great during the day as it's a cool breeze on a very hot day, but the wind can howl at night. The owner Debbie was very accommodating throughout and managed any questions we had quickly. Air conditioning is extra, so you will need to keep an eye on the use of it. I think it was about an extra £60 a week for the electricity. Overall the location was great, close to many places and away from any crowds. If you want a quiet family holiday then this is the place.

    Beautiful private villa with pool ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Bernadette B. on 29-Jul-2017
This spacious villa lies in the hills a few miles from Tavira. The views and setting are lovely, nestled as it is in hills scented with eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender. It's spacious and well appointed, clean and comfortable with full air-con (not just fans). Offering peace and complete privacy yet a handy 15-minute drive from the amenities (gorgeous blue flag beaches, a wealth of restaurants, festivals and nightlife in the Roman town of Tavira) it provides the best of both worlds. Convenient to the motorway should you wish to explore the mid or Eastern Algarve, it's also about a half-hour drive to the Spanish border for a day out. Our teenage boys loved it and spent a lot of time in the pool. They're also into wildlife and spotted gorgeous butterflies and birds we don't see at home. There's no Wifi in the house at present but we discovered that the lure of Lidl in Tavira was not just their tasty bread and pastries but the free Wifi and that served our needs using our mobile phones! .We had a great holiday aided by Mitchel the concierge who was on the end of a phone when we needed him ready to help with advice and support. •

    Relaxing stay at Casa Lia ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By James Harris on 25-Jul-2017
A very relaxing week in this peaceful and spacious villa. Casa Lia has amazing views and is located in a beautiful area. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and lounge spacious, and the pool fantastic. Tavira is only 15 minutes away and has great shops and restaurants. Visited the beach once which was ideal for families as the sea is shallow. The villa is well equipped to ensure you have a great stay.

    Great villa, great location ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Tracey M on 11-Jul-2017
The Villa was very clean and tidy and perfect for my family (2 adults and 3 kids) . Bedrooms were larger than expected and the air conditioning a fabulous addition to help the kids get off to sleep on the hotter nights . The kitchen has all the modern facilities we would expect and was perfectly equipped with enough appliances and cutlery to happily cater inhouse if required . The dishwasher and washing machine was very helpful as we could keep up with the clothes a typical family can go through. ( it dries in minutes on the roof top washing line ). The pool was spotless and well maintained and with the loungers and large parasol, provided a perfect bit of respite from the sunbathing . The BBQ was again just perfect for the alfresco dining and became the daily focus for our fresh local produce. In summary from start to finish the booking was easy and the villa exceeded are expectation. Nice touches like pre booked food essentials on our arrival. plus additional towels and a large range of DVDs, cds, games and books just made the villa have a very "home from home feel". You will need a car - as the nearest Aldi, Continente or PIngo Dolce are about 15 minutes away . So stock up or you will be back and forth to the shops . (The villa has 2 fridge freezers so space isn't an option ) It's rural situation is peaceful and very relaxing and so if relaxing by the pool and chilling is privacy is your tipple . This is perfect. A lovely stay in a lovely villa . Book it !

We recently returned from a lovey stay at Casa Lia. The booking process was simple and efficiently dealt with by the owner. Debbie was polite, helpful and flexible. Perfect. Upon arrival we had a pre arranged meet and greet with the local villa manager. Mitchell. He proved to be a very friendly and polite contact for our stay. The villa is very clean (always cleaned prior to a visit) and well presented with all you need and more inside. The outside has a lovely pool with rolling views down to the sea in the distance. There is a very large patio area with a huge BBQ that we love cooking on. There is also a table outside for eating. This villa can accomodate a large group in style. You will not be disappointed. We love it! Ps A contact is provided during your stay who is very helpful and cleans the pool on a regular basis. Good to have around if you have any questions about anything !

My partner and I and 2 other couples who are close friends stayed at Casa Lia for 2 weeks and did not want to leave! from the start, Debbie the owner was really good to deal with and answered all our questions with enthusiasm and professionalism, making the whole booking process easy and straight forward. Casa Lia is just a hidden gem. I totally forgot to write in the visitor book, falling asleep by the pool on the last day seemed to take over especially as Debbie let us stay later as we had a late flight home. I can not recommend this villa enough. The overall accommodation is spacious, well laid out, kind to the eye and unusually homely for a holiday home. Everything you can wish for from the dishwasher to full English TV (not that I watched it much) and a music system with outside speakers. The choice of music available was surprisingly good from 60's to opera if you like that kind of thing. Phone and mobile data is excellent in this area so Wi-Fi is not needed, better than at home in the UK! The outside space is excellent with a lovely clean pool and amazing views all round. Most days you can see all the way to the sea. You do need a car as the nearest shop is about 15 minutes drive away and local beaches (Casela Velha our favourite) about 20 mins away. Tavira is about 15 mins away which is a lovely Portuguese town/city not too spoilt by tourism and spoilt for choice with restaurants and bars. There is a very good Lidl and indoor shopping centre called The Grand Plasa about 20 mins away. The best part by far is the quiet and privacy this villa gives with the nearest house about 1/4 mile away. Perfect for that all over tan while enjoying the view............. A stylish outdoor BBQ which was used most nights, cooking under the stars to the sound of the crickets. Mitchel (the guy who looks after the villa) was a gem. We only saw him once more after arrival which was the day before we left but I did send a couple of texts to ask about local info and he always came straight back. We were out when Valentina came to clean half way through but she did a really good job and even hung our washing out which was still in the machine. We very much look forward to staying at Casa Lia again in the future.

    A great place for a relaxing holiday ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Christopher B. on 01-Sep-2016
We found Casa Lia the perfect place for a get away from it all holiday. We loved driving up from the N125, over the bridges, through the villages and forest, led expertly for the first time by Mitchell though we found your written instructions were so clear that we think we would have made it on our own! We found the villa absolutely amazing, spacious, clean, well equipped and the views absolutely spectacular. We made good use of the pool and spent many hours on the terrace, sunbathing in the daytime and watching the stars in the evening. All 3 of us managed to see a shooting star during our week, that must be a lucky sign! We did venture away from the villa to visit nearby beaches and restaurants but were always happy to return. We thought the automatic driveway lights when we returned in the dark were magical! We found Mitchell charming and although we didn't need to call him during the week, it was reassuring to know he was on the end of the phone. All in all a memorable holiday, just wish we were there longer! •

    Beautiful private villa with pool ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Bernadette B on 29-Jul-2016

    Spacious, clean, homely quiet retreat. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Allan S on 27-Jul-2016
    • 5 of 5 Extremely comfortable villa wanting for nothing. All 3 bedrooms very spacious. Kitchen fully kitted. Large patio area with a marvellous swimming pool surrounded by greenery. By far the biggest asset is the absolute peace and quiet - the breeze can be heard at night and the birds singing in the morning - no other sounds whatsoever, not even a car or a voice! Nearest neighbours almost 1km away. A drive to Tavira is easy and takes about 20mins along quiet country lanes. Food shopping is therefore not a problem. My wife and I enjoyed our stay enormously and hope to return. Fully recommended for a peaceful family holiday. •

The owner, Debbie, made the whole booking process so easy. Herman and Mitchell, who look after the property, are friendly and helpful. The villa itself is very large and bright and in a beautiful setting. Tavira is only 15 minutes away and there are lovely restaurants only 5-7 minutes away. Highly recommended

    great villa in a great location, we loved it! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Victoria Jackson on 14-Aug-2015
Casa Lia was just as the listing promised, a spacious villa with fantastic views. The house is light and airy. The rooms are large. The accommodation is all on one level which works really well for that indoor/outdoor living. Doors from the master bedroom and the kitchen lead straight out to the pool and garden. There's a lovely big table out there where we had all our meals taking in the view of hills and sea. Bliss. The house is great for comfortable family living. Plenty of beds for the children to choose from. Nice bedding and towels. Everything very clean. Everything in the kitchen we needed. There are home comforts too - the children had a sofa each (there are three), to watch English TV in the heat of the day. Casa Lia is very peaceful, good for privacy and relaxation. The owner gave us excellent directions and once we knew the way it was actually easy to get to Tavira. Both the owner and Mitchel, who looks after the house and pool, were very helpful and answered any questions we had. We would recommend this villa, it's a lovely place. Tavira itself is beautiful. There are some great beaches, Barril is our favourite, some really good places to eat, Casa Fernanda near the villa was great and very Portuguese. We had a lovely holiday. I wish I was there now, sitting by the pool, warm breeze, glass of Vinho Verde in hand....

    Casa Lia ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Casa Lia is a great villa in a quiet and secluded location. The villa has everything that a family could need and more. It is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The pictures on the website do not do it justice - breakfasting in the garden each morning, overlooking the countryside and pool, with the sea in the distance was heavenly. Although the setting feels quite remote, Tavira is only a short drive away and is a lovely town to stroll around and eat out in in the evening. The owner was very helpful when we booked, as was the manager and his son whilst we were at the villa. We had some great days out including: Barril Beach (lovely little train ride there and back); Praia Verde beach; boat trip on the Rio Guadiana; Alcoutim Platja Fluvial (riverside beach - perfect on a scorching hot afternoon); Zoomarine (the kids loved this place); Slide and Splash (we all loved this!); nature trail in the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa (good to do late afternoon or early morning). The kids also went horse riding at the local stables - the lady there was great - so helpful. All in all a great place to visit; I would definitely recommend this villa to family and friends.

    Idyllic holiday villa ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
    By Claireylou Cheshire on 24-May-2014
Casa Lia was just what the doctor ordered! Away from the crowds, up in the peaceful hills, but close enough to the town to get the food and all important wine for lazy days and evenings by the pool! The location is perfect for a get away from it all holiday which is exactly what we wanted. The villa is well equipped with everything you could think of, including a range of paperback books and DVDs for the cooler evenings. The bedrooms are airy and spacious, the bathrooms clean and there are plenty of towels, being able to use the washing machine and tumble dryer meant not having to pack too many items and I flew out with just hand luggage for a 9 day trip. We had glorious whether so were a bit lazy on the sight seeing side of things but we did have an afternoon exploring old Tavira, took a ferry to Spain and had tapas in the town square, and visited the market. We also found a great sea food restaurant down on the coast overlooking the lagoon, we left the card in the visitors book. A couple of evening we went down to Tavira and ate in the square where there was lots of life, restaurants and bars near the roman bridge. My favourite part of the holiday was getting up in the morning and sitting on the terrace by the pool having breakfast and enjoying the view. Fantastic! 10/10

When you are planning a quality holiday at a Vila that you have not visited before, it can be a touch nervy not knowing what you will experience for the investment. In summary, all I can say is that our stay at Casa Lia was excellent and the advice and support from both the owner and the local "caretaker" Herman was second to none. The friendly Herman kindly met us part way from the Faro airport and drove us directly to the Vila (good idea given as a family of 4 it was late, and we were tired and hungry from the late flight). The first morning we arise to fresh local produce for breakfast , kindly purchased by Herman to save us shopping the previous night. When we went shopping for ourselves, you have easy access to two local supermarkets which cater for all your needs. The vila had plenty of space for two adults and two young children. Could easily accommodate more individuals. Beautifully themed comfortable bedrooms with remote controlled air conditioning ensured we had a good night rest every night. The main feature was the private swimming pool. We had hours of daily fun. Great to see our children's swimming skills improve in such a short time. Plenty of floats and swimming equipment present. The vila is set in the very quiet, peaceful hills of a national park, with views of the distant sea. So quiet and very safe for children to explore around the vila. Several acres of the owners land ensures privacy and natural beauty. The vila is a very short drive from Spain which was great to explore, and we enjoyed visiting Lagos and Sagres. We also went off track to swim in a beautiful local mountain lake surrounded by almond and carob trees. Plus Herman helped us to find an excellent beech that wasn't busy, with easy access to the sea water. In brief, you will return home wondering if you had dreamed staying here. When we return to Algarve, there is no other place like our new "second home" we will choose to return to. Thank you Debbie for a pleasurable experience ! (ps - don't forget to watch the stars at night on the vila roof )

This villa surpassed our expectations in every way. From the moment we had contact with Debbie the delightful owner right through to being met by Herman to lead us up hill and down dale to this fantastic villa - set in its own grounds with fab swimming pool and barbeque. The outdoor speaker could be blasted out as there was no other villa in sight. The accommodation was first class in every way and having 3 fridges was great as you can't pop to the local shop! We watched shooting stars on the extremely comfortable sunloungers, explored smaller beaches and just chilled. You won't be disappointed - we weren't! • Review Submitted: 02-Sep-2013 • Date of Stay: August 2013 • Source: Owners Direct, from HomeAway

Lovely little villa in amazing setting
    By G on 22-Aug-2013
We stayed at the Casa Lia for 7 days last week, I am pleased to say it was everything we imagined and much more. The villa was extremely well maintained and has everything you could need, it is very homely and comfy and we ended up spending most of our time just enjoying the pool and serenity of the villa. It was extremely useful having Herman on hand to help as the villa is very secluded and we felt safe knowing we could call on him if needed. We would recommend the villa to anyone with a family or in need of some peace and quite, Debbie is wonderful and was extremely helpful before our trip as she was able to tell us about the local area and give lots of tips and recommendations. All in all a lovely place to stay and we will definitely be booking again •

    Heaven in the hills ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
By Anonymous Warwickshire England on 21-Aug-2013
We have stayed at the wonderful Casa Lia four times now. Will never forget travelling up into the hills above the beautiful Tavira (15 mins away) for the first time. The villa is huge and set in acres of land. It is well presented and clean and has everything you need. Our favourite thing is the view from the huge BBQ that we use as much as possible. The photographs don't do the villa justice. With the lovely pool and plenty of space you can let the days roll past at your own pace in total privacy and peace. You are not overlooked and can be as noisy as you like. It is very remote but we love that. Last holiday we saw a tractor and a couple of trucks and that was it! It's surrounded by other lovely villas. We have found the service exceptional both home and abroad. The owners are very accommodating and prompt and when in Portugal you have the wonderful Herman who is there if you have any problems. It's good to know he's about and speaks the language. Our timeout from the stress and everyday life in Casa Lia
