Location description
Villa in Pelayos de la Presa, near the Pantano de San Juan and the Alberche River. 45 minutes from the M-40 motorway M-501. Located in full nature with large green areas, 50 km from Madrid, 5 minutes walk from the Alberche River and 1.5 km from the San Juan reservoir and surrounded by trees, pines and mountains.
Other activities
The Pantano de San Juan, known as "The Beach of Madrid", has 53 km. of coastline with banks that form quiet and majestic coves and small beaches, among which is the beach of the Virgen de la Nueva, first beach in Madrid awarded with the Blue Flag quality badge, surrounded by abundant pine forests and holm oaks where you can enjoy of a well-deserved rest.
It is the only reservoir in the Community of Madrid where bathing and water-powered activities are allowed, ideal for water sports enthusiasts, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and swimming.
The marsh has a total of 14 km of beaches, with piers, restaurants, yacht clubs, camping and seasonal beach bars.
The mountains that surround Pelayos de la Presa, are the perfect place to practice trekking, mountain biking, motor or equestrian sports, climbing and hiking, golf, paintball, quads and archery.
This area is ideal for doing all kinds of Multiadventure activities:

In San Martin de Valdeiglesias: Multiaventura Indiana Natural Recreational Park: Activities such as: Rope park, zip lines, canoeing, climbing and abseiling in adventure tower (up to level 7), archery, bouldering, beach volleyball, orientation, shuttleball, cricket, table football, darts and much more.
The Iruelas Valley, Protected Natural Area as a Natural Reserve, where you can enjoy various activities and guided tours.

Tourist attractions
In Pelayos de la Presa you can visit, among others, the Monastery of Santa Maria La Real de Valdeiglesias and the Parroquia Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
In San Martín de Valdeiglesias, you can visit, in addition to the already worthy town of visit, the Castillo de la Coracera, or visit the Bodegas de Vino Alvaro de Luna, consolidated nationally and internationally within the Denomination of Origin Wines from Madrid.
The Enchanted Forest is also located in the Madrid municipality of San Martin de Valdeiglesias, 5 km from Pelayos de la Presa, in the Sierra Oeste de Madrid. Recently inaugurated in the summer of 2011, the Enchanted Forest is a unique botanical garden in Europe, where there are more than 300 living sculptures of incredible sizes, made by the best topiary art artists, on the more than a thousand vegetal species of all the existing world in the park. In the house we leave you a catalog with a 10% discount on tickets to it, for being housed in the house.
Just 27 kilometers away, in Aldea del Fresno, an authentic piece of African savanna extends. Between the Alberche and Perales rivers; the Safari Park, a reserve that has its origin in a project by the naturalist Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.
Here animals live in conditions of semi-freedom in environments that evoke their natural habitat. The safari park is mostly traveled by car, although some areas can be covered on foot. There are also points where more adventurous children have the possibility of feeding some animals.
In addition to an exhibition of birds of prey in flight and follow the route where you can see specimens of different species such as bears, lions and giraffes, the Safari Park has a reptile and an insectary. In summer, there is the possibility of enjoying a swimming pool -with a large slide included- in which to fight the high temperatures, while the youngest are preparing to participate in a kart race.
Not far away, at 18 km, is the Tiemblo, where the Cañada Real passes and where we can visit the famous Bulls of Guisando, the Monastery of the Jerónimos, the bridges of Valsordo and Santa Yusta, united on the Alberche river, the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, with tower of S. XV, the baroque hermitage of San Antonio or the Ovens of the tinajas.

How to get
By highway
Arriving by road to Pelayos de la Presa is very simple. From Madrid, we will take the N-V, or the M-30, M-40 or M-50. From these it connects very easily with the M-501, towards San Martín de Valdeiglesias. This road is known as the Carretera de los Pantanos. Once you have taken the Carretera de los Pantanos, you continue along it, passing through Brunete and Chapinería. Do not leave this road, which after crossing the River Alberche takes us to our town at Km. 52.600. From Madrid it takes about 45 minutes.
Public transport
There is a bus stop right at the entrance of the Urbanization. To get to Pelayos de la Presa by public transport, you must take bus 551 of the CEVESA Company, which runs between Madrid and San Martín de Valdeiglesias, starting from the Prince Pío interchange. These buses stop at Pelayos, and the trip lasts approximately one hour and ten minutes. Between October 1 and June 30, buses leave Madrid every other day every 30 minutes, while from July to October they leave every 60 minutes. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, buses depart from Madrid to Pelayos de la Presa every 60 minutes. There are night buses in both directions.
