Description
Ideally located in the heart of Pano Lefkara Aunt Maria's traditional stone-built house was beautifully restored in 2008.
The renovation was done as part of the agrotourism program for the rehabilitation of traditional village houses, with the guidance of the Department of Urban Planning and has been approved by the Cyprus Tourism Organization.
Aunt Marias house occupies a privileged elevated location near the village square and is surrounded by a terraced garden with stone-paved patios. It consists of three one-bedroom self-catering apartments and one three-bedroom/two bathroom luxury apartment, all with their private entrances from the garden, outdoor sitting areas and unobstructed views of the mountains. Restaurants, coffee shops, banks, grocery stores and tourist attractions in Lefkara are within walking distance.
Each apartment is offered as a unit. The entire complex is also available as a whole for a group up to fifteen people.
With a landscaped garden, a large barbecue grill and outdoor dining tables to sit eighteen it is ideally suited for family get-togethers.
The three bedroom apartment, with hard wood floors and large windows is quite pleasant and has the feel of a stand alone house. The bedrooms are equipped with queen beds. The living room opens to a furnished covered veranda, a lovely spot to enjoy the morning coffee, read a book or socialize. The dining area enjoys excellent views and opens to a covered veranda with outdoor dining table. The kitchen with granite counter-tops, modern appliances and a large fridge will satisfy the most demanding chef.

Location description
Aunt Maria's traditional house occupies an elevated location near the village square; it is surrounded by impressive stone-built walls and a landscaped garden with stone paved patios. It can be reached by a car to the front door and has adjacent parking that belongs to the building.
The picturesque village of Pano Lefkara is renowned for its beauty and exceptional architecture as well as the local hand-made lace and silver artifacts. It is a relatively large mountain village for Cyprus standards, population around 1000, with grocery stores, banks, restaurants, hospital, regional schools. It is quiet and has no traffic lights.
The entire village has been placed under a preservation act and the countryside remains pristine. It is close enough to the beach for daily visits but at a comfortable distance and elevation to enjoy cooler dry weather in the summers. Tradition is apparent everywhere in Lefkara from the old stone houses, preserved to this day, the narrow stone- paved alleys adorned with flowers, to the local women embroidering in the courtyards and the streets in front of their doors.
The air in Lefkara feels clean; the sky is blue and the smell of the blooming almond trees and flowers in the spring an unforgettable experience. In the evening the stars glimmer in the sky and the lights of the towns below shine in the distance.
Lefkara is not only peaceful and quiet it is a beautiful village and a perfect starting point to explore both rural Cyprus and the cities. A daily visit to the beach is as easy as it can be. This jewel of the Cyprus villages, in the southern foothills of the Troodos Mountains, is only 15 minutes away from the blue flag Governors beach and less than a 45 minutes drive from the major towns of Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca. It is close to archaeological sites, medieval convents and monasteries and picturesque mountain villages.
Lefkara offers cool, dry weather, unspoiled countryside and the opportunity to relax in a friendly and peaceful rural environment, take short trips to explore Cyprus and enjoy the Cyprus sun.
Other activities
Walk through the village, visit historic chapels in the countryside, medieval convents and monasteries, picturesque mountain villages and the forests in the Troodos massive, archaeological sites and the major cities. Ascend on foot the Sotira hill above Lefkara, enjoy the views and follow the nature trail to the nearby village of Kato Drys.
Swim and dine at Governor's beach, dine next to the water in the Zygi fish taverns and taste traditional dishes in the village and the main road to Vavatsinia in restaurants hidden among pines.

Directions
From Larnaca airport follow the signs to Limassol and exit at the Skarinou, Lefkara and Vavatsinia exit. Follow the signs to the village center. Aunt Marias is visible from the village square. From there you follow the street downhill turn left around the school yard and park below the house. Give us a call to meet you and direct you to our private parking.
