    Description

    Casa Tabobo is a recently refurbished 100-year-old finca standing on 150m plot with stunning vista stretching from the sea beyond Puerto del Carmen to the many mountains that cover the volcanic island.

    Casa Tabobo is one of two properties on the land, which are out of sight of each other. Casa Tabobo is situated beyond and below the main house reached by steps leading down from the car park to Casa Tabobos own private cactus garden and patio area. These steps, though large and not steep, are not suitable for wheelchairs or prams (prams can be safely left at the top of the steps). The property, steps and its walls are striking, made from local Rofe stones, volcanic rock and thick flags from Fuerteventura.

    The Property is far from bare nor with blank walls! It has been provided with a number of ornaments and pictures and features, which almost all reflect the style of Canarian life a century or more ago, most are antique and there are even one or two fossils of 7 million years of age.

    The entrance itself is a double door leading into the large reception hall area, with the kitchen off to the right hand side and living room to the left. The large and traditional kitchen is a colourful and interesting feature in its own right and has retained a typical Canarian kitchen design; the living room boasts amazing bay windows offering panoramic views of the coast. There is one main bathroom that serves the finca which includes lovely original fossil stone soap and towel holders and built-in Shower Room . The bathroom also contains toilet and sink, mirror and is supplied ventilation from its own window.

    The Large Master Bedroom although accessed from the hall also has its own entrance and exit to the pathway and stairs at the side of the building. It is therefore possible to configure arrangements where either teenage children or elderly parents can effectively have their own quarter with separate access, so as to be able to come and go without disturbing the other occupants of Casa Tabobo. This main bedroom contains a double bed, chairs, two very large wardrobes and a chest of drawers quite sufficient for a long holiday stay and there is ample space for a further put up bed ! The second bedroom comfortably accommodates a double bed and single bed along with a large built-in wardrobe and chairs.

    Casa Tabobo has been restored sympathetically from an old finca about 100 years in age, maintaining its rustic character and traditional Lanzarote style. The interior of the house has thick volcanic walls, the windows have been restored from old wood. The property at present does not have a pool, but is literally only minutes away from that huge and beautiful warm swimming pool the Atlantic Ocean!

    As a result of the owner's passion for gardening the property is surrounded by and abundant with shrubs, native plants, fruit trees and flowers all year round. Casa Tabobo has a lovely landscaped patio area and a private cactus garden. The views from the rear patio extend over the Atlantic and on either side of the property to rugged volcanic landscape. The patio has sun lounges and large wood day beds (cool house) in keeping with the property and outside dining furniture for those long summer nights.

    From the airport, follow signs to Tias and then Yaiza while staying on the main road. Take the second roundabout for La Asomada (the first having a large Eurospar supermarket on it). From there, follow the road until you reach a crossroads with a large bin on your right. Take the road up to the left (Camino del Meson) and the villa is the first drive on the right after the S-bend
