Directions
Arriving by Air:
Our nearest airports are Malaga and Granada-both are around an hour away, depending on traffic.
If you are coming from Granada Airport after leaving the airport as there is only one exit road which you will pass the service/hire car stations, keep on going until you see the signs, follow the motorway sign A92 for Seville, Malaga, Cordoba ( not the one for Granada otherwise you will have to turn around ).Keep on the A92 until you see the sign for Malaga take that road and keep going until you see a sign for Salinas,Villanueva De Tapia this is the exit for the road that will take you to Iznajar so follow the instructions below where it states the A-333 road to Iznajar.
From Malaga Airport to Iznajar it takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to Finca Brigadoon.
When you leave Malaga airport take the road for Malaga WHICH IS OVER THE FLYOVER NOT THE ROAD ON THE RIGHT WHICH IS TO CADIZ and stay on that road following the overhead signs E15-A7-A45 Cordoba, Granada, Seville which takes you around the outskirts of the city of Malaga and keep on going for about 30 minutes where you will see a sign for Granada A-92-M do not take this turn off go straight on towards Antequera and as you go down the hill towards Antequera there will be a sign for the A92 for Granada/Seville, take the turn off on the right for Granada and stay on the A92 until you see the road sign for Iznajar where you exit the A92.You will then see a road sign A-333 which is the main road to Iznajar and for Villanueva De Tapia which is before Iznajar.
Continue without deviation on the A-333.You will cross the border of between Malaga and Cordoba and start to descend around the spectacular views of Iznajar and the lake.
Cross over the 1st bridge which brings you around the cliff of Iznajar on your right here the road changes to the A331 continue over the 2nd bridge where on the left you will see a builders merchants and an olive factory on the right continue past them where you will then see a petrol station on the left keep going up the hill for about 1.2 km where then on the left you will see a bar/restaurant called Charon, RIGHT OPPOSITE this restaurant there is a road which is on the right with a sign for La Celada and also a sign for Brazos Abiertos Casa Rural keep on this road until you get to a T junction and you will see in front of you another sign for Brazos Abiertos Casa Rural, turn left at this junction and up the hill past the olive factory on the right until you reach the top and carry on the tarmac road through the hamlet of small houses until the end of the road where there is a large white painted detach house on the left. You turn left onto this tarmac road and carry on for about 3km until you see the sign on the left for Brazos Abiertos Casa Rural.
DO NOT TURN OFF HERE but continue past the sign for a bout 2 minutes and then you will see Finca Brigadoon which is surrounded by white walls and green railings on right. YOU ARE HERE AND WELCOME .IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS ON ROUTE THEN YOU CAN CONTACT ME THOMAS ON
(0034) 628 121 373.
IMPORTANT.....
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE FROM THE A-45 FROM MALAGA TO ANTEQUERA. TURN OFF AT GRANADA M-92-M….Before Antequera you can take the route which we take which we find is a bit shorter than going down to Antequera and joining the A-92.
Follow the same instructions from Malaga to Cordoba but when you see the sign before Antequera / Cordoba you will see a sign for Granada A-92-M take this turn off which is on the right hand side follow this road past the service station/restaurant and keep going until you come to a cement works on the right hand side of the road and just past here you will see a sign for Salinas, Villanueva De Tapia exit here and at the end you will turn left under the bridge follow this road over the railway bridge through Salinas to a T Junction where you will see a sign in front of you Iznajar A-333 turn left and keep on this road all the way to Iznajar following then the instructions from Iznajar to Finca Brigadoon.
