Description
Villa Nina is the spot for a couple looking for a romantic and peaceful break away, or a family, whilst being close to the village of Glossa with its tavernas and shops, cafe, bars and night life, only 5 minutes drive along the country lane.
It is a beautiful traditionaly built property with views of Agios Yannis (the famous church on the rock which was featured in the film ''Mamma Mia'').
It is also close to the beautiful beaches of Hondrogiorgos and Perivoliou and it set in spectacular countryside with marvelous views across the marine park to the north and to the east to the island of Alonissos. There is also a lonely 100 metre long beach at 6min walk from the house.
The house comprises of a large double bedroom upstairs with air contitioning, an en-suite bathroom also and lots of balconies and terraces where a glass of wine and the view of sunset makes the nights special. Downstairs there is a stone built living room traditionaly decorated, a twin bedded room, another bathroom with hydromassage, a fully fitted kitchen, wi-fi, TV and CD player.
Outside are plenty of seating areas around the house, a barbecue and below is the pool terrace with fantastic views across the sea - a great place for trying to spot the schools of dolphins that often hunt in the area. Or just relaxing and watching occational boat float by.
Villa Nina is a quite and peaceful retreat in a fabulous position in this unspoiled area of Skopelos island. Magnificent view of Aegean make the nights special.

Location description
Villa Nina is set in a private countryside area with magnificent views of Aegean island.The beaches in the north side of the island such as Hondrogiorgi, Perivoliou, Pethamenis are 5 min. driving or 20 min. walking.There you can enjoy swimming in the clear water,discovering the nice depth or just relaxing at the very peaceful each sitting down of the physical shadow of the rocks.The beach of Agios Yannis (the famous church on the rock which was featured in the film Mamma Mia)is 20 min. drive and many other beautiful beaches on the west side of the island are 30 min. drive.The traditional village of Glossa with shops,cafes,bars,restaurants is only 5min drive away.The port of Loutraki with traditional fish tavernas ,restaurants near the sea is 10min away.

If you like to explore the beauties of our island there are many choices for you.Sea kayaking tours give you the opportunity to explore all the beaches(small,unspoiled,lonely,big,famous).There are also mountain bikes to can explore the beautiful roads up to the mountain,and of course you can rent a motorboat or yacht,or make a daily trip around the island.
Local events
During the summer there are many of festivals,including traditional dancing and local theatre in Skopelos town,in the villages of Glossa and Elios also,with dances from all over the Greece.
Tourist attractions
There are many small churches and monasteries worth visiting which are located all over the island.Both the village of Glossa and the town of Skopelos have many small cobbled streets and historic buildings and museums.Also banks,pharmacy and medical centre.There are tavernas throughout the island offering a wide range of cuisine including fresh fish and local dishes.
Directions
Most travelers fly to Skiathos airport and then come to the port of Glossa, Loutraki by ferry(10min).If they arrive to Athens airport,thyy take another fly to Skiathos,or take a bus until Agios Konstantinos(2hours)and then take the ferry to Loutraki or Skopelos port(2hours).If they arrive to Thessaloniki airport they take the ferry that comes straight to Skopelos port(2.20h.).We will wait to the port and take you to the house.We could also help you to rent a car for the days of your stay if you like.

Friday is normally changeover day to tie in with flights from the UK to Skiathos.Checkout is 10.00 and arrival is 4.00pm to enable us to clean and prepare the house for our next guests.We can be flexible f not suitable so please enquire.
