Description
Built in 2009 Villa Alexander is one of only 4 beautifully designed detached villas that make up the small, exclusive development of Gennadi Hills. Set on the hillside with views of the Mediterranean sea and the mountains. Sleeping 4-6 with private pool and air conditioning throughout. Villa Alexander is in a quiet location, not overlooked, with a mature garden, traditional Greek BBQ and private drive with ample parking.
On the split-level ground floor there is a spacious fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee-maker. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pans and plenty of cooking utensils. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board located in the utility room under the stairs. There is a speparate dining area with seating for 6. The living area has two large sofas, flat-screen TV, DVD player, MP3 player and iPod docking station and a Playstation complete with enough games to keep any older children happy. There is also a downstairs bathroom complete with shower, WC and basin.
Upstairs there are two air-conditioned bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed with fitted wardrobes, dressing table, bedside cabinets and an en-suite bathroom complete with shower, WC and basin. French doors lead from the bedroom to the private, furnished veranda with views across the sea. The veranda is perfect for an intimate breakfast or for evening drinks whilst taking in the glistening lights from the nearby coast.
The second bedroom has twin beds, large wardrobes with plenty of storage space and bedside cabinets. The second bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom complete with shower, WC and basin. French doors lead from the bedroom to a smaller balcony, furnished with table and chairs - perfect for catching a few rays or star gazing in the warm Mediterranean evenings.
There are also two fold up guest beds which can be used downstairs. A travel cot and high chair are also available.
WIFI internet is available free of charge.

Location description
Gennadi is a traditional Greek village with an all year round Greek population. It has tavernas and restaurants to suit most tastes. One of the local restaurants also deliver delicious home made pizzas. There are two beach side tavernas which serve delicious fresh food in pleasant surroundings. There are supermarkets for all you needs, a greengrocers and lovely bakery. There is also a pharmacy and medical centre should you need them.
The village is quiet and peaceful with but night life is available further along the beach at Sposa bar and Mojito beach bars.
Buses run regularly from the town to most locations of interest, they are clean and the fares are very reasonable. There are many sites of historical interest on the island, perhaps the most spectacular being the acropolis at Lindos. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding bays and coastline. The structure is being restored by archaeologists giving an amazing incite into how it looked in ancient times.
Equally impressive is the old town in Rhodes with its enchanting narrow streets and wonderful buildings. For the young and young at heart, spend a day at the water park near Rhodes town. One of the largest in Europe, the slides and rides are thrilling for all ages. The West side of the island is mountainous and beautiful with small villages selling lace and honey.
Our management staff visit the villa on a regular basis and have a good knowledge of the island, they will direct you to your chosen destination or will suggest things for you if you ask.
Other activities
Half an hour from the villa is Prasonisi beach on the southern most tip of the island a haven for wind and kite surfers of all abilities. Bike hire and quad bikes are available from a local car hire company.
Local events
During the summer months, the Hellenic Festival of Sound and Light is a particular highlight at the Old Fort, where the story of the Rhodeans battling against the Turkish army some 500 years ago is told is five different languages.
There are regular festival throughout the summer in rhodes.
Tourist attractions
The glass bottom boat from Pefkos is a must during your stay. make sure you catch the one that stops for a swim and be prepared to see the wonderful marine life along the beautiful coastline.
