Local area
The villa is situated in the heart of wine-making countryside, it is the perfect place to relax and because of its unique location can be used as a base to explore Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio. The House is situated 15 minutes walk from the quiet, medieval village Civitella dAgliano, in which there are several shops, a petrol station, a Banca di Roma and Post Office. Even nearer home is our local restaurant and a small supermarket. There are several other good restaurants in the area including at the beautiful Hotel La Tana dellIstrice (the porcupines lair), where one can also taste wine from the impressive wine cellars. There is a pizzeria and several small bars. There are facilities for playing tennis, horse-riding, fishing, walking and cycling, information can be found in the Town Hall (Comune). Garden and pool area
The large private swimming pool (5m x 15m) is situated on the side of a hill, above is an olive grove and below the winding valley. The pool is secluded and peaceful. Around the perimeter of the pool is a mature rosemary bush providing a beautiful perfume in the evenings and fresh herbs for cooking. The marble patio is spacious with plenty of room for the 8 sunloungers. In the garden there are 3 large garden tables and outside seating for 20 people. There is a lantern in the oak tree which provides the perfect light for intimate suppers or large parties in the evening. There is a large pizza oven which is great fun to use for cooking pizzas, joints of meat etc. The garden is informal. and the area around the house has space to park several cars. There are plenty of places to explore on the land including 3 small caves and a stream at the end of the bottom field from where it is possible to fish for trout. We have one neighbour but neither of the houses are overlooked.

Eating at the Yellow House
This house is perfect for holidays for families, it is possible to sit up to 12 people in the kitchen if another table is added (either a tressle table form the pump house or one from the sitting room ). We usually eat outside and there is enough seating and table space for over 20 people. Guestbook
Viterbo Sisters with spouses staying at the Yellow house Italy
We are four women with the Viterbo name who brought our spouses to to Italy to visit Viterbo. Our first stop was Venice where we savored the food, the people and the city itself. From Venice, we took the train from Santa Lucia station to Orvieto and was pick up by a Fiat 8 seater van and driver arranged by Kalle, the property manager of the vacation villa rental called The Yellow House located in Civitella D'Agliano, Viterbo Province.
At the main square in Civitell d'Agliano,Kalle and young son met our van to escort us to the Yellow House. We ordered the welcome pack and groceries for light supper since we are arriving late and grocery stores are closed.Kalle delivered hot breads the following morning for our breakfast. What a service!!!!Everyone love the renovated huge kitchen and long dining table( this is where we spent most of our time together.) We iike the antique furnished bedrooms too and the bath rooms. For the first time in our lives, the moon was shining in our faces while we slept. It was quiet and peaceful. The next day we could not wait to enjoy the swimming pool. It is great that there was a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, table games and ping pong. We're smiling now when we see videos of us in the pool, cooking in the kitchen and playing pingpong. A vehicle is essential to explore the area and Kalle arranged and brought us to a car rental firm in Orvieto. We were able to visit Viterbo City,Bolsena Lake, Bagnoreggio and Orvieto.Parking is no problem all over the places we visited and the local people are very helpful in giving us direction. When the vehicle was returned we walked to town for groceries and a cappuccino at he main square and found a beauty salon for a shampoo with excellent service. Leaving Civitella d'Agliano for Rome airport 3 different times, first and second couple were picked up in a Mercedes by the same rental firm and four of us in a Fiat van( same driver) great service. We were glad everything went well. The Yellow House indeed is a wonderful vacation place and we were so lucky to visit We will surely come back and recommend them to our families and friends
A peaceful and beautiful retreat for families
we recently stayed in a beautiful and peaceful house in Cevitela D'agliano called the Yellow house in the region of Lazio, Italy. we have a good time in that house. the amenities are excellent specially the table tennis and the swimming pool. we enjoyed cooking in the newly renovated kitchen and a huge new dinning room and the bedrooms are beautifull with its antique furnishings since we love antique furnuture, we really appreciated that.
The Yellow House
I travelled with 10 other members of my family across Europe this summer, spending one week at the Yellow House. It is stunning ! A beautiful house with lots and lots of space... no cramping with 11 of us there.... room for more infact! The house had great facilities and everything you needed in a kitchen to be self sufficient. The pool was magnificent and BIG, loads of sun loungers, space and shade in areas if you wanted it.... A quiet and beautiful location with shops and services a short drive away made it the perfect place for us all to have fun, relax and laugh. No near neighbours meant we could totally relax without worrying that we would disturb anyone else with all our children. The owners of the Yellow House are fantastic to deal with and I will certainly be going back again. Absolutely NO negatives about this villa... go and enjoy a truly glorious location and classic house.
