Description
Pretty detached house in a village in La Vaunage, a valley ideally located between Nimes and Montpellier in Languedoc-Roussillon, 40 minutes from the Mediterranean and its beaches.
The house has been completely redesigned and refurbished in 2013 to be converted into a warm and cozy holiday home. The house has three bedrooms, (beds: 1x 180x200 and 2x 160x200). One bedroom has a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet and washing machine. Second bathroom with Italian shower, sink and toilet. Living room with sitting area and French doors opening onto the terrace and overlooking the pool. Kitchen with dining area.
The garden is completely fenced. 3.5x 7.5m pool. BBQ, two sun loungers and garden furniture. Parking two cars on ground.
The location is ideal: you can go for your morning croissants walk. All shops approx. 500m - 1km as well as "La Voie Verte", a 22km cycle path between Caveirac and Sommieres (cycling, walking, rollerblading ..). For mountain bikers there are plenty of small path to discover in the area.
The house is located only 7 km from the historic center of Nimes and offers quick access to the most beautiful monuments in the region such as the Antique Arena, the Jardins de la Fontaine, the Tour Magne, the Temple of Diana and the Maison Carree..
During the summer season there are fêtes votives in the villages of the region. The Feria's of Nîmes are events like no other! Twice a year, at Pentecost and the grape harvest, the city lives under the sign of the horse and the bull but also music, dance and wine. Also time for a Spring weekend in Nîmes: 'The Great Roman Games' (in April) invites young and old to live in Roman time. In the arena, a pageant and unique show with 500 participants from all over Europe, workshops for children and image projections. In the city center, street parades, shows and entertainment in the square House or the Archaeological Museum succeed. The Roman antiquity like you've never seen!

Caveirac is a lively and historic village in close proximity to both the Camargue and the Mediterranean cost. It is conveniently situated between Nîmes and Montpellier in the ever increasingly popular area of the Gard, Languedoc/Roussillon in Southern France.
From Caveirac you are near the most beautiful towns and places of interest, Avignon, Nîmes, Arles, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier Uzès and the 2000 Year old Pont du Gard to mention a few. The whole area steeped in rich Roman history and culture.
For the active guests, there are specialised green routes for walking, roller blading and cycling, extending 20kms to Sommières with all its attractions and also the exploration of the spectacular Vaunage and Garrigue countryside. And not forgotten are the various bright and vivid markets to be visited.
There are numerous festivals or fêtes including bull fights throughout the year as well as the opportunities for many other activities - golf, water sports, cycling, walking, horse riding and for the less energetic wine tasting! ..... The list is endless .......

Ideal house for a relaxed holiday.
When we arrived we experienced a very personal welcome from the owners.The cottage features all things required for a relaxed vacation. The pool is a big surplus together with the small garden and grass. The location is an ideal starting point for trips to Nimes and other historical sights, as well to visit the coast which is not to far away.
