    A warm welcome awaits you at Casa Martin, experience the real Spain! A place to relax and enjoy the peace. See the goatherd wandering past, enjoy the view, go walking, or maybe visit local attractions (national park only two miles away) and later unwind in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

    Casa Martin is a reformed ruin with arabic roof tiles, wood effect double glazed windows, and good insulation in the floors, walls and roof. There is a wood burning stove with a woodbox outside, so you will not be cold in the winter when the evenings can be chilly.

    Casa Martin was our first home in Spain, and we hope you will find everything you need to make your visit feel like home from home, comfortable and well equipped.

    We have rented Casa Martin from 2007, and are registered with the Spanish tourist office as a casa rural, CR/AL/VTAR/MA/-1130 is our Tourist Licence reference number.

    Casa Martin is situated between Canillas de Aceituno and Pasada de Granadillas, and is 3km along a good well maintained dirt road.Its a short distance off the through road with very few cars passing, in very quiet countryside.

    A small slice of tranquility

    My wife and I spent a relaxing week here in March and loved every moment. Bob and Gunny are the perfect hosts both when booking and during the stay. Very helpful and friendly. The finca itself is perfect for a relaxing retreat. It is situated in the highlands behind Velez-Malaga and sits on a hillside with views for as far as you can see - great for watching stars from the jacuzzi in the evening as well. The finca is small and cozy with a good sized kitchen and a nice sitting area in front of the wood burning stove. 2 big bedrooms one with a queen sized bed and one with 2 singles. Bathroom is really nice and there is plenty of warm water for baths. We have been in many rentals in Spain and this is one of the nicest we have been in so far. We would recommend it for visiting Andalusia away from the beaten tourist track and will most likely return for another stay. Thank you Bob and Gunny for providing this fantastic finca!

    Hidden Gem.

    Just back from a week at Casa Martin. The property was absolutely immaculate and extremely well equipped, everything that you need. TV with loads of channels. all the UK channels that we needed. Dishwasher, washing machine, fast broadband, log fire. Hot tub on the terrace to sit in and admire the most amazing views. If you're wanting a week of peace and relaxation with views this is the place. The only noise is birds, bees and goats with bells on! Without a doubt this will be a place we will be returning to. The owners were quick to reply and really lovely helpful people.

    Great property with fantastic views

    It's our 2nd stay in Casa Martin. We loved it so much that we just had to return. The villa is very comfortable, has all the facilities you would require. The mountain location is very quiet and the bed comfy, so no problem sleeping. It's handy for so many places to go walking in the mountains and Torre Del Mar with all its restaurants, bars and beach is just 20 minutes drive. The hosts Gunny and Bob are very friendly and welcoming and live close by. Highly recommend this property. Graham and Pam UK.

    Casa Martin is a very well appointed comfortable holiday home nestled beautifully in layers of mountainous terrain, far from the madding crowd. It is a spotlessly clean, superbly equipped house with a more than generous welcome pack, pleasant garden & terraces which afford great privacy, shade & sunshine. It is an ideal holiday location for those who love peace, tranquility & magnificent vistas & sunsets. Plenty of information about the local attractions etc is available in a well organized folder. Internet connection & mobile phone service excellent if one has the inclination to contact the outside world! We thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn in Casa Martin & will definitely return. We unreservedly recommend Casa Martin. Two regrets...1.We had to leave this idyllic spot & 2. We didn't get to meet Bob & Gunny in person. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. Thank you both for sharing your holiday home with us.
