    Description

    "Mas Vell-Roure" has been designed with the comfort and enjoyment of your holiday party in mind. Contemporary, light and spacious with modern, high quality furnishings it is the perfect place to chill out. The main living area on the ground floor is open plan with plenty of space for relaxation and relaxed dining. Comfortable chairs and sofas are grouped around the home entertainment system and due to the wonders of modern technology you can watch the latest episode of your favourite soap or just keep up with UK news and sport.

    Between the dining area and kitchen is a tiled breakfast bar. The dining table seats 10 in comfort and is just a few steps away from the kitchen which is fitted with modern appliances. Fridge-freezer, gas oven and hob with extractor fan above, microwave and dishwasher are all to hand if you choose to eat in and the cupboards are well stocked with crockery, glassware and cookware. In the utility room a washing machine is also provided for your convenience. An additional drinks fridge to keep that wine and beer cool.
    Reversible air conditioning units are in all bedrooms. French windows open out from the dining and living area onto the terrace and give easy access to the pool and barbecue area. Large ceiling fans in both areas. The house sleeps ten in total.

    There are five bedrooms in the house (all with air conditioning) two doubles on the ground floor and a master bedroom and two other doubles on the first floor. There are also five bathrooms, three of which are en-suite. All the bedrooms are simply and beautifully furnished and each has ample wardrobe and drawer storage space. Each bathroom has bath and/or shower, hand-basin and toilet. Four of the bedrooms have french windows opening out onto a terrace or balcony and all have fantastic views.

    There is lots of parking. Lovely flat grassy garden. Table tennis located in the garage for cooler activities. Fresh bread just 10 minutes stroll to the village.

    Location description

    Much of the land belonging to the house remains uncultivated for you to be able to enjoy the diversity of the wildlife and the uniqueness of the landscape. In the summer the climate and terrain attracts small lizards and geckoes. Cicadas and tree frogs will provide an unforgettable soundtrack to your holiday as they too are regular visitors.

    Near to the house there are some shrubs and trees together with terraced areas for making going barefoot poolside and in and out of the house more comfortable. The blue of the 10m x 5m swimming pool reflects the blue of the summer skies. For the protection and safety of your party it is fenced to comply with recent French legislation and access is via a self closing gate. There is a barbecue on the terrace making dining al fresco easy and enjoyable.

    The coast is 10km to Argeles sur Mer.. Along the Mediterranean coast there are many attractive beaches and rocky coves. You will also find inland beaches by many of the regions lakes and plan d'eau. There are many water based activities available such as sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and pedaloes, sea kayaking, diving and snorkelling. Many companies during the summer hire out all the equipment you need and tution is available.

    Other activities

    There are many activities in the mountains, at the beach at Argeles sur Mer, in Spain and also the lakes at St. Jean pla de Corts (10 mins drive). Cycling, pony treking, canoeing, snorkelling, swimming, mountain climbing, bowling, go karting, wine tasting, spa breaks.

    Local events

    Perpignan has many conferences, exhibitions and is a great place to visit.
    Les Defalantes - the local July rock concert at Chateau Valmy is a MUST!
    The photographic exhibition in September in Perpignan is wonderful!

    The house is suited to all age groups with plenty of corners and rooms to escape from others if you need a spot of peace and quiet.

    The views from the house are incredible, I loved to watch the sunset from one of the balconies and if feeling really decadent, sip a glass of something chilled in the bath tub whilst gazing out over the countryside..

    Deposit/Booking Notes

    A holding deposit of 25% is payable to reserve the booking.
    The balance of the rent t is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the Owner reserves the right to give notice in writing that the reservation is cancelled. The Client will remain liable to pay the balance of the rent unless the Owner is able to re-let the property. The security deposit of 500 is payable prior to arrival and returned usually within 2 weeks of the end of holiday, less any cost of breakages, losses etc. However, the sum reserved by this clause shall not limit the Clients liability to the Owner.
