Description
Villa Nisi is a one-storey, two-bedroom villa with private, fenced entrance, private garden and grounds, and its own private pool. Peace, tranquility and spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding hills and mountains make for an idyllic location and base for exploring the southern beaches, villages, history of Crete ....
The main bedroom of the Villa Nisi (with double bed) is located on the ground floor and has direct access to a terrace overlooking the bay and the Paximadi Islands. The second bedroom (twin beds) is also located on the ground floor and has direct access through a patio doors to a magnificent garden terrace - The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place for sunny breakfasts or romantic stargazing evenings, or just for sunbathing while the kids are in the pool splash
Both bedrooms are equipped with large closets: enough space for those who travel with huge, fully-filled suitcases! There is also a large sofa bed in the living area should this be required for a fifth guest.
Nestled in an ancient olive grove, this recently built, thoughtfully designed house offers a traditional Moorish style coupled with modern home comforts for the whole family. With an open plan living / dining area leading to a fully equipped kitchen, Villa Nisi will fulfill all your holiday needs and make you feel at home on your arrival. This will come in a small way from your welcome pack of local produce, juice, water and wine.
Cool tiled floors lead through this elegantly furnished villa and the air conditioners (hot or cold) in both bedrooms and the living area provide year-round comfort. It gets cozy in winter in front of the open fireplace.
Outside, the villa offers ample parking for three cars.

Location description
The beach and pretty, harbourside town of Agia Galini is only a five minutes drive away and offers dozens of excellent tavernas, restaurants and kafenions... more than enough choice for anyone and all imbued with Crete's inimitable warmth and friendliness.
The larger towns of Tymbaki and Mires (10 and 20 minutes drive away) provide an excellent choice of shops and hold weekly markets filled with wonderful, fresh produce and a vast array of everyday necessities.
Gorgeous and quiet beaches are dotted along the south coast nearby and so many within easy reach: from 15 minutes to half an hour's driving you can always find somewhere to tempt you. Try Kommos or Matala, Trio Petra or Agios Giorgios, or head further afield on a boat trip to the fantastic Samarian Gorge to begin a walk of a lifetime into a breathtaking slice of Mother Nature's beauty.
And don't forget to retrace history with visits to one of the world's most ancient civilisation's (the Minoans) many sites and excavations. The nearby palace of Phaestos or the ruined city of Gortyn are only 20 - 30 minutes away.
Additionally, Agia Galini offers some great boating daytrips to neighbouring beaches, coves and islets, as well as to the twin islands of Paximadia ‘floating’ sublimely in the Bay of Messara (as seen from your villa window!). Preveli beach lagoon with its two monasteries and small, palm tree forest is a sheer delight and well worth hopping on-board a boat for a visit. Alternatively, drive there... it's not much more than forty minutes away by road.
Other activities
Crete offers plenty to keep a large family occupied and enjoying themselves to the full on either a short or long holiday, but here in the south things are a little more relaxed and tick along gently.
Lazing or playing in the villa's own private pool or simply spending the day on a quiet, nearby beach tend to be the preferred choices of so many of our past guests. They tell us of their plans but invariably find everything they need right here and settle down to relax immediately.
And eating out in Agia Galini is just superb. With so much choice, great value and so many genuinely warm and friendly welcomes you will find all you need and more.

Agia Galini does hold an annual, Greek music festival (August time usually) and Easter in Greece is a time of huge celebration and festivals.

Directions
Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomson, BA, Aegean Airlines are just a few of the most popular airlines flying directly from the UK to Crete throughout the holiday season (typically late March to the end of October). Similarly, flights are readily available from Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands etc.
Flights arrive at either Heraklion (HER), Chania (CHQ) or Sitia JSH airports: Heraklion being our nearest at around one and a quarter hour's driving time.

Ferries also arrive along Crete's northern shores, thus making a great stop-off for island hopping or for longer, lazier stays.
