Description
The house is set in a beautiful location among pine and larch trees and the River Kanaird winds its way around the bottom of the safe enclosed garden.
Runie Lodge is situated beneath the dramatic Ben Mhor Coigach mountain ridge in the crofting community of Blughasary.
The old schoolteachers house is let as luxury holiday accommodation, it has its own driveway and private entrance. The Lodge is fully equipped to a high standard and can comfortably accommodate 5 persons.
Runie Lodge is situated just 7 miles north of Ullapool and is ideally situated for exploring the north west coast of the Highlands and is the perfect place to return to after a day on the hills or beaches. The lodge has a tranquil, peaceful feel and is the ideal location to relax and unwind.
Arrive to home baking, high ceilings, tall windows and basket of logs. The heart of the home is the spacious kitchen, sit on the window seat, look to the river and chat with the family while preparing dinner. Fully equipped to a high standard for creative cooks with range cooker, retro fridge, island unit and dresser.
The sitting room is cosy with sofa and armchairs, original stonewall, oak beam, a wood burner to sit by to read all the books that are on the shelves, the piano is now only a lovely old piece of furniture but for musical guests we can provide a keyboard. It's a homely place to reflect over the day and relax.
There are 3 bedrooms, a kingsize room and bed, this large comfortable bedroom with a stone wall and feature stove has windows looking to Ben Mhor Coigach and River Runie. The twin bedroom is a light airy room which has a chandelier and convenient hand wash basin and overlooks the river. The single room is cosy with a pretty chandelier and looks towards the mountains.
The bathroom has oak flooring and chandelier, shower and a wonderful deep roll top bath to relax in while looking out to the hills you may have just climbed!

The outstanding balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.
All bookings are Saturday to Saturday.
The properties are hired from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
