Description
La Maison is a beautifully furnished 5 bedroom house (originally the main farmhouse).
You enter the house directly into the enormous and very modern kitchen which has a table seating 12 - ideal for those long, lazy lunches using the delicious local produce from the markets. The original stone walls ensure that the rooms are cool in summer, but if you are visiting us at other times of year, there are cosy woodburners for the kitchen and the living room. In the living room you have a TV and DVD player (we have an extensive selection of DVDs available to borrow from our games room). For the more musical among you there is also a piano ideal for a good old-fashioned family sing-song or for making sure that children dont fall behind with practising their scales. If you havent brought enough books to last you, there are plenty provided in the house and if you absolutely must stay connected, there is free wi-fi too.
Layout:
There is one double en-suite on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there is a twin room and a very large double room and a shower room. In addition, there is our family suite. This is a very large space and has a double bed and a single bed on the first floor and then stairs up to a further double in the pigeonnier. These rooms share a bathroom. Ideal if you have young children. We can also provide a cot if you require one. The rooms on the first floor all have lovely views over the valley. Outside, you have your own private terrace - perfect for watching the sunset and if you are lucky you may see deer in the fields below or even our resident Owl family!
Outside, there is a 10mx5m pool to cool down on hot afternoons. This is shared with the small cottage next door and with our Safari-tent visitors. We also have a brand new games room for all our guests - pool table, table tennis, table football, darts, cards, board games - another popular space to cool off in the summer! Optional extras: In July and August you are welcome to join us for our weekly BBQs outside. We also run art workshops for children - they all get to make something to take home and also contribute to a group project which we display outside. Finally, if nobody feels like getting up early and going to the bakery in the village, we will deliver your bread order to your door for you.
July and August are the peak months for family holidays, however, La Maison is available year round for those of you who prefer to take a break outside of these times and enjoy the slightly cooler months. it is possible to rent the house as a three bedroom (with the family suite closed off) Please contact us if you would like a quote for this. Short breaks are also available outside of peak season please let us know if you would like a quote for a short break.
We are lucky enough to live here all year in what was the old barn for the property. Many of our guests like us to be around to help with any queries, others prefer to just relax in the privacy of the house and surroundings. Whatever you choose is fine with us its your holiday and we want you to enjoy every minute of it.

Location description
The local area abounds with beautiful hilltop villages - Lauzerte and Auvillar are particularly recommended. The weekly food markets in Moissac and Valence d'Agen are bursting with delicious, fresh local produce - guaranteed to make your mouth water! If you prefer someone else to do the cooking, there are numerous restaurants within 30 mins drive - everything from a plate of chips to a Michelin star (and plenty in-between). In summer, most of the local villages have night markets where you can have a delicious meal and be entertained by live music.You may even catch Marc's band if you are lucky. For the more active guests there are swimming lakes, canoeing, walking, cycling, golf and even water skiing. If this all sounds too exhausting, then just spend your days chilling on your private terrace, relaxing by the pool or having a leisurely evening game of boules as the sun sets.
Directions
We are in Tern-et Garonne. From the D953 which runs between Cahors and Valence d'Agen, take the V3 which is signposted "Castelsagrat 5kms" Follow that road for 2kms and Le Domaine du Chasselas is on your left. Detailed directions and GPS co-ordinates are sent to all guests as part of our information pack.
