Park View Cottage is a holiday cottage in picturesque Old Glossop. Ideal for a peaceful break alone, couples, and families.
Glossop offers a variety of restaurants and takeaways including Italian, Sri-Lankan, Chinese, Spanish Tapas, and English food. Also, a cocktail bar and cosy bars which offer food and drink. There is Pico Lounge, Harvey Leonards, The Norfolk, The Oakwood, to name but a few. The Globe offers vegetarian food and is a music venue, as is The Crystal Ballroom. Partington Theatre is a quaint place to take in the arts and also offers a beautiful bar. Within short walking distance from the cottage is Shepleys Cafe which comes highly recommended. Also the Queens Arms, with Queens Spice curry house upstairs, The Wheatsheaf, The Commercial and The Bulls Head with its Sunday lunch and tapas.

Situated near open countryside, perfect for walkers and those just wishing to soak up the beautiful Derbyshire views. A great base if you wish to visit Bakewell, Buxton, Castleton, Edale or Eyam. Many guests take advantage of the location, going for walks in the local area.
We allow two dogs - many of the local pubs are dog-friendly.
A regular train service is your ticket into Manchester City Centre with high street and designer shopping including theTrafford Centre. Sporting venues include the Manchester Velodrome, the homes of football clubs Manchester City and Manchester United and Manchester Aquatic Centre together with various museums, theatres and many, many restaurants.

Really enjoyable time, peaceful and ideally located a short walk from both a local park and the amenities of Glossop plus a short drive from beautiful Peak District and Pennines countryside. Felt safe with my dog within a fully enclosed and secure garden.

Lovely homely cottage. Warm and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful. There is always a welcome pack. We have stayed here many times over six years and it feels like home. Excellent position for the Peaks. Opposite a park. Shop nearby. Four pubs that do food nearby.

We had a wonderful holiday at Park View, found the house warm, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect opposite the park and just a short walk to the town centre. The countryside in the area is stunningly beautiful. Also, appreciated the welcome package from the owner who was very helpful. We are already planning our return.
