GROUND FLOOR
It includes patio, open plan living / kitchen / dining area and the bathroom.
PATIO: The traditional cobbled street of the village takes you down to the front patio of the house, paved with cool white marble and fenced with low stone walls. Half of the patio is covered with beautiful wooden ceiling with exposed chestnut beams, being ideal for outdoor dining. The uncovered part is ideal for sunbathing and has two sun-loungers. The captivating views to the sea and the surrounding area are totally uninterrupted.
LIVING, KITCHEN, DINING: Entering into the open plan living area, you immediately sense that the house is not just a rental accommodation but also a lovingly decorated home, with white marble floors, wooden ceiling with exposed chestnut beams, well maintained stone walls and custom made fireplace in a corner. The sofa can be converted into a bed for a 5th person if required. The fully fitted kitchen has all the conveniences plus a dishwasher. The handcrafted staircase –made with extreme care from hard wood– is a beautiful piece of art.
UPPER FLOOR
It includes two bedrooms and two balconies.
OPEN PLAN FIRST BEDROOM: The wooden staircase from ground floor leads direct into the first bedroom, whithout door. This bright room - ideal for children - features an open beamed traditional roof and patio door to a spacious sunny balcony with panoramic views.
There are 2 identical single beds in the room and a small wardrobe. Mattresses are soft, with a height of 28cm and pocket springs that adjust to the body and hold the spine in its natural curve allowing the muscles to relax resulting in a perfectly restful sleep.
MASTER BEDROOM: It is well separated with door that closes and features open beamed traditional roof, queen size bed (152cm*200cm) and bookcase in an alcove. The 100% natural latex mattress, in combination with a slatted bed base, allows for a cool comfortable sleep. The room has access into its own balcony with lovely sea views, where is also a second entrance to the house from the upper part of the cobbled street.

August 2023, Stayed a few weeks
Communication with Argyro was always very prompt. Her father kindly collected us from the port in Loutraki and drove us to the house, explaining about the village and the property, which was just as described. We wanted peaceful and relaxing surroundings which is what this property provides. A short walk up to the village, but take a torch for the return journey at night.
There are several restaurants in the village also a supermarket, cashpoint, a few cafes, with a bakery open 24hrs a day which sell fantastic treats! You do need a hire vehicle staying in Glossa and we used Dream Cars in Loutraki who were great and easy to communicate with. All in all, a wonderful unspoilt island and a very relaxing holiday. We would recommend this property.

July 2022, Stayed a week
We had the most wonderful stay in Lavender House. If you're looking for peace, quiet and beauty then this place is perfect. We were met by Yannis, Argyro's father, who helped us with car hire, showed us round the well-equipped house, and gave us helpful advice and tips about the island. It's very easy to spend hours on the terrace enjoying the spectacular view and surrounding nature; butterflies, lizards, cicadas, birdsong, the moon over the sea at night and little owls calling to each other across the valley :)
The house is just a short walk up to Glossa, a lovely small town which has a handful of tavernas, supermarket and bakeries. We also hired a car and visited some of the beautiful beaches and monasteries on the island. (Parking space a minute's walk from the house). Skopelos is a beautiful island which I would love to explore more and I would very, very happily stay at Lavender House again. Thank you so much Argyro and Yannis.

Lavender House is a perfect place for those seeking peace and quiet - the views out to the coast were spectacular. The house is quite isolated within the abandoned village however it is a short drive / walk to Glossa and the main road from which all beaches are easily accessible.
Argyro was a fantastic host greeting us at the house and providing lots of useful tips for the island. The house is well equipped and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique property!

We loved Lavendar House. The house is located in a brilliant position - a 2 minute walk from the main Glossa area; in a secluded a incredibly quiet spot; in nature. Uninterrupted view down the valley to the sea. A couple of houses in the distance. Surrounded by beautiful lush trees. It feels like you are living on your own Greek island. But a short 2 minute walk away is a phenomenal bakery, a basic supermarket and a handful of good restaurants.
We generally eat out for all meals when on holiday, but we so enjoyed Lavendar house and it was so well equipped that we ate a number of meals at the house. There is a washing machine and dishwasher.
Re house layout: You can access house from downstairs and upstairs (ie so if you have 4/5 people staying here - this is handy). Upstairs - through door at back of house you walk straight in to main bed. Then come in to room that has 2 single beds / 2 day beds -with a view and leading out to a balcony, with chairs. From this area you will also find the interior stairs. Downstairs is open plan living kitchen area with 1 day bed / single bed. Bathroom is downstairs. Balcony downstairs has lounges, table and chairs.
Our hosts were very hospitable- picking is up at the port and giving us lots of tips. In addition the house was very well stocked with basic foodstuffs and herbs, oils, tea, coffee, sugar - making everything really really easy. House was as per the photos.
