In the Wee Hauf we offer you a modern open-plan living space, shower-room, and one bedroom opening directly onto a sun-trap patio and secluded private garden. Lie in bed and listen to the birds sing!
There's a convenience store in the village and with retail and leisure parks nearby, you don't have far to go to shop, eat out, see a film or go bowling.
This is an ideal location from which you can explore the many attractions of the ancient Kingdom of Fife, from the golfing heritage of the Auld Course at St. Andrews, to the art gallery in Kirkcaldy, hometown of Jack Vettriano. There are plenty of local events, theatre and arts, sporting activity and motor racing at the Racewall and Knockhill to enjoy.
More than lots of things to do, there's plenty of peace and quiet, so you can relax in Fife's beautiful countryside and coastline, including the Lomond Hills and Aberdour's Silver Sand beach.
Just 20min from Edinburgh, the Wee Hauf is a short hop to the buzz of Edinburgh, for Hogmany or the world renown Festivals, as well as providing a great base to get out and explore Scotland. In under an hour, you can be in Perth, gateway to the Highlands, visit the C.R.Mackintosh designed tearooms in Glasgow, or relax in Peebles, amongst rolling Borders hills and salmon rivers. We are located 2 miles east of Dunfermline, the ancient capital, home to some of Scotland's finest historical and tourist attractions. Directions
Travelling by car, from J3 on the M90 follow the sign for the A92 to Dunfermline. At the roundabout, take the exit for the A92 to Kirkcaldy. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Dunfermline Road - B925 and keep going for 100metres and you're there.
Travelling by bus, there is a transport hub at Halbeath Park & Ride less than a mile away at the edge of the village, with direct express buses connecting all over Scotland. Local buses stop just yards from the door!
There is a frequent train service to the two railway stations in Dunfermline from Edinburgh (30min) and it's a short bus or taxi ride fom there.
