    Location description

    Isle of Jura may take a while to get there but well worth it, enjoy the peace and quiet or take a bus tour of the island stopping off for T at the Beach, explore ancient buriel grounds, enjoy a trip to Corran sands, climb a pap, go fishing, trip on a boat to see the Corryvreckan, enjoy a snack or meal at Antlers or the Jura Hotel.
    For those with energy left there are Ceilidhs held in the village hall which goes on to the wee small hours.

    Directions

    To reach Jura you will have to go via Islay, Islay can be reached by Calmac Ferry from Kennecraig Ferry Terminal to either Port Askaig or Port Ellen, with Port Askaig being the most convenient .
    You will then have to get the Jura ferry which leaves from Port Askaig to Feolin, Isle of Jura,
    It is then an 8 mile drive to Craighouse both are car ferrys
    You may also get a flight from Glasgow Intl. to Islay Airport
    There is a bus service from Feolin to Craighouse
    Alternatively foot passengers may travel direct from the mainland by the Jura Passenger Ferry, this leaves fromTayvallich and comes right into pier at Craighouse this is a seasonal service.
