    Enjoying breathtaking views of Somerford Lagoon, the largest lake on the Lower Mill Estate and the only lake with houses only along one shore, this luxury reverse living house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, sleeps 8 adults & two children and room for up to three travel cots.

    This house, designed by an award winning architect and has wall to wall double height glass in the open-plan living room. It nestles on the edge of Somerford Lagoon and enjoys tranquil waterscapes, serene countryside views . The glass-fronted balcony runs along the front of the house so you can sit out in warm days and enjoy the view. In winter you can light the modern wood burning stove.

    The house is decorated in calm, muted tones, blending the natural environment with luxury furnishings. It benefits from carpet to the bedrooms and with oak flooring throughout the rest of the house, with gas central heatin.

    Kitchen
    There is a spacious, modern kitchen with cream coloured cupboards and high quality range of built-in appliances including oven, hob, full height fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and, in a separate utility room, a washer dryer.

    Open Plan Living Area
    The first floor provides an amazing vaulted living room with full height glazed elevations to the rear giving you a picture postcard view over Somerford Lagoon. The solid oak dining table comfortably seats 8 with extension panel enabling up to 10 adults to use it. There are leather sofas and armchairs to relax on. A 32" flat screen TV with cable (Freeview), DVD player, Games Cube and Music system with Ipod docking station provides you with plenty of entertainment. A toy box and range of board games, books, DVDs and CDs are all available for your use.

    Bedrooms
    Our house offers two lakeside bedrooms, one with en-suites and access onto a rear terrace with beautiful open views beyond. A further double bedroom, with ensuite, second twin bedroom and a children's bedroom with child bunk and bathroom mean there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms - all fitted with luxury Egyptian cotton sheet and hotel-grade fluffy white towels for your comfort.

    Location description

    Goose Nest House is situated in Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswold Water Park. The Estate is an award-winning mixture of luxury second homes and five star holiday homes. The Estate boasts a small shop, children's play ground, trampoline, tennis court, fishing and boating (not provided) and lots of country walks around the seven lakes.

    The newly built, 6 million relaxing ArtSpa has grey slate lined indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, sauna, steam room and techno-gym. Pampering treatments, using organic Pervonia products, are extra but well worth it for a relaxing massage, pedicure or three hour head to toe luxury treatment. Access to the spa is free and available only to guests and residents of Lower Mill Estate, Clearwater Village.

    Local events

    Cirencester has frequent farmer's markets and antique fairs. You could use the house as a base for Badminton Horse Trials, Cheltenham Festival, Fairford Airshow and a range of other activties.

    Tourist attractions

    The historic Roman town of Cirencester if just 10 minutes' drive away with its newly opened Corintheum Museum. Westonbirt Aboretum is close by, as are the chocolate-box villages of the Cotswolds famed for their pretty honey-coloured stone cottages, welcoming English pubs and a range of tourist attractions. The Cities of Bath, Bristol and Oxford are less than an hour's drive away.

    Directions

    Just 20 minutes drive from both the M4 and M5 Motorways, yet miles from anywhere, Lower Mill Estate is a private nature reserve just 90 minutes' drive from London.

    Trains are direct from London Paddington (15 minute from London Heathrow Airport) to Kemble Station and take approximately 90 minutes. Taxis available for hire at Kemble which is about 3 miles from the house.
