    Description

    Charter House is a large grade 2 listed house retaining many of its original features. In the centre of Hartland a quiet small town in North Devon.

    As you enter the house you will see how the hall has retained its tiled floor and half panelled walls and the dog legged panelled stair case. The first door on the left leads into the fully panelled sitting room which overlooks the paved area and square at the front of the house. The second door on the left leads into the dining room which overlooks the rear garden. Opposite the front door is a door that leads out into the rear garden. The door opposite the dining room goes into the downstairs toilet and the door opposite the sitting room takes you into the lounge which in turn leads into the kitchen and then into the utility room. There is also a door leading from the kitchen into the rear porch and rear garden.

    The stairs take you up to the six bedrooms some of which have panelled window shutters and fire places, bathroom and shower room.

    Location description

    Hartland is a small rural town in North Devon close to the boarder with Cornwall . The area is made up of a mixture of Farm land wooded valleys, moorland and dramatic coastline.

    On the 2nd Saturday in August the Town holds it has its grand carnival parade the which signals the end of a week of fun and activities.

    It is highly recommended that you have your own transport as Hartland has an infrequent bus service from Barnstaple and Bideford. If members of your party are coming by train or coach then Hartland is the final stop for the 319 Bus from Barnstaple via Bideford. This bus also goes via Clovelly and conects to with the bus to Bude.
