    Description

    The proprietors, Wendy and Ieuan Jones feel privileged to live in this idyllic setting in the Ogwen Valley of Snowdonia and welcome like-minded guests. Bryn Llys is ideal for large family gatherings and interest groups e.g. birdwatching, photography, walking and cycling parties.
    Bryn Llys cottage is a modern conversion of a traditional building. There is a large ground floor fully equipped kitchen that leads to a dining room will seat 18 people. On the first floor is a lounge with seating for 15 and a games room/small lecture room. These first floor rooms are accessed by a staircase but there is no lift.
    There are five en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor with separate accesses from a covered walkway. Of the five, three are twin rooms and two are family rooms with a double bed on the ground floor and twin beds on a mesanine floor. All bedding, linen and towels are provided. There is wireless internet access.
    Guests have free access to the 10 acres of parkland on the site. This contains a Caravan Club and Motorhome CL site - well away from the accommodation and also about half a mile of 5" gauge sit-on garden railway track that meanders through cuttings, bridges and a tunnel. Guests, both young and old, are able to enjoy rides on the train when it is operational..
    There is ample free parking in the grounds, adjacent to the accommodation.
    An adjacent cottage (Hafan) that sleeps 4 can be combined with this property to increase the accommodation or for guests with disability.

    Directions

    There is a taxi rank at the train station in Bangor and buses from the bus station. Number 7 travels to Bethesda every half hour but there is then a walk. Number 6 passes our gates 2 hourly. If driving, turn onto the B4409 at a minor staggered crossroad on the A5 at the Southern end of Bethesda. Go right at T just after a bridge Pass two sets of cottages and a double bend. Our entrance has large red gates set back to the right of the road half way along the next straight stretch.- about 3/4 mile from the crossroads.
