The house is located in Tuscany on the edge of the Garfagnana National park with easy access to the Tuscan cities of Lucca, Florence and Pisa as well as the smaller towns of Barga and Castelnouvo and many others. The tranquil setting is the perfect place to unwind providing an excellent base to discover the local countryside, towns and villages or to simply relax and enjoy panoramic views and stunning natural beauty of this unspoiled corner of Italy with plenty of opportunity to indulge in its famous cuisine, wines and culture.

Located in the hillside village of Granaiola overlooking the town of Bagni di Lucca, La Balconata Guest house offers everything you would expect from a rural retreat. On the edge of the Garfagnana national Park its the ideal getaway for anyone wishing to discover this hidden gem in the northern hills of Tuscany. The perfect base for touring by bike or car with walking routes throughout the vicinity as well as a host of other activities locally. The Spa town of Bagni di Lucca with shops, bars and restaurants is a 10 minute drive, with the historic town of Lucca a further 25 minutes. This Traditional stone built farmhouse is set over three floors, Three generous bedrooms on the top floor with two bathrooms, a large lounge area with open fire and ample comfortable seating for all on the ground floor, and large kitchen and dining room on the lower ground floor with access to the gardens and outside seating and patio areas, fantastic views from the balconies and terraced garden.

The nearest airport is located in Pisa with Florence airport only an hour away, there are many flights available from the UK and the rest of europe arriving daily from airlines such as Easyjet, Ryanair and British Airways. If you are coming from further afield there are direct flights into Pisa or Florence from the USA or Interconnecting flights most of the major airports of europe.
