Location description
Ilfracombe is a small town with a beautiful historic working harbour with its ferry to Lundy Island and its famous 'Tunnels Beaches'. Ideal base from which to explore North Devon and Exmoor. Local beauty spots include Woolacombe Bay, Croyde Bay, Lynton & Lynmouth, Clovelly and Exmoor.
There are some interesting historic houses to visit including Chambercombe Manor and Arlington Court, and some excellent gardens including RHS Rosemoor.

DIRECTIONS BY CAR FROM M5
Junction 27 – Take A361 towards Tiverton / Barnstable.
On approaching Barnstaple stay on A361 and follow signs for Ilfracombe.
On approaching Ilfracombe at Mullacott Cross roundabout turn right onto the A3123 and follow the signs for Harbour Long Stay car park. At the bottom of A3230 New Barnstaple Road, you will come to a set of traffic lights – turn right. Immediately there is a parade of tall Victorian houses on left, The Collingdale is situated towards the end.
