Self contained apartment in complex with facilities on site

I have visited this complex for the last three years and am always happy with it. The location is fine, although it's better once you get the hang of where you are, especially if you don't have a car. It is easy to walk to Beaulieu or to the Villa Rothschild although the first time i visited i thought both were a long way and caught buses! Not any more. The old town at Villefranche is not too far but be warned it is a very steep walk when you return, there are steps from the beach. The new town is a reasonable walk along the main road. The apartment itself is great, with two bedrooms, and a living area with kitchenette, and a separate bathroom and loo, and a terrace with glorious views. The wifi and the tv worked well and I just loved it. A family of four would be fine in the apartment. The appliances are new this season, there is a sofa which is comfortable plus a tub chair. Plenty of storage space for clothes and things like a hoover and ironing board are all in the apartment. Towels and sheets are provided which is very useful. The train station and the bus station are a short walk from the front of the apartments should you want to venture to Nice, or even to Monte Carlo or Italy. The nearest supermarket is in Beaulieu but there are a few shops in Villefranche old town, and plenty of restaurants there. Small snack bar with drinks adjacent to the pool, which is quite large, unheated but quiet.

    Excellent accommodation

Self catering was a piece of cake in this accommodation. The clean, comfortable apartment was well equipped, with plenty of towels, bedding, crockery, etc. The ceiling fans were much appreciated. In the kitchen, the combination microwave was able to provide most of the meals on our menu plan and the dishwasher was on duty every day so we could get on with our relaxation plan. We ate meals in the apartment every day, usually on the balcony, overlooking the tranquil tropical garden.
The pool, cafe and lounging areas were a real pleasure. The pool was so close to the flat that you could nip back to your apartment for your sunglasses and resume your blissful rest and read on the sun lounger before your ice cream melted.
The accommodation is very conveniently situated for tourist attractions. There was a lovely beach a short walk from the accommodation. Cap Ferrat is within walking distance from the complex, and Beaulieu sur Mer is a little further away, but still within the vicinity. For keen cyclists like my husband, there are plenty of challenging climbs on the nearby Alpes, with magnificent views to reward you for your perseverance and your perspiration. For keen swimmers like myself, the Med and the pool are beautiful, warm (once you get in) aquatic heavens.
It is a great holiday place! We have been twice, so that tells its own story!

    Excellent facilities and experience

We had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was a great size and very clean and had all of facilities we could possibly need. It has a fantastic and very helpful folder in the apartment full of information about how to use the amenities in the apartment and it also had lots of tourist information about activities in the area and further afield. It also contained very useful information about bus and train times which made our lives very easy and took away any stress of having to work out where we were going. Overall a fantastic holiday and experience and definitely go back to the apartment. Great value for money and very customer focussed.

    Relaxation

The property was as described, it was clean and well maintained. The gardens and pool area within the complex are also well maintained and secure.

The pool overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and the cafe serves light snacks and drinks. If you are feeling a little more adventurous the beach is only a short walk away.

Situated between Villefranche, Beaulieu and Cap Ferat there are many places to visit. Rothschild villa, Perching Village of Eze - Monaco and Nice are on your doorstep

The restaurants serve amazing food and can be found alongside the water front or within an ancient town

    I enjoyed my stay immensely

    Lovely Location

Had a great holiday here. The location is excellent - the lovely villages of Beaulieu and Villefranche are within easy walking distance. The secure and quiet apartment complex is set within landscaped gardens. The apartment itself is comfortable, with everything you need, and a very nice balcony. It's easy to travel around the area. Public transport to all surrounding towns and villages is cheap and frequent. If you enjoy walking, it's an ideal area for that. Villefranche offers a wide variety of good restaurants, while Beaulieu seemed better for cafes. It's the perfect place for a relaxing break.

Beautifully situated outside Nice with fabulous bus/train links to anywhere else you'd like to go-making it an enjoyable holiday in that everyone can take in the scenery and the wine !
Apartment well equipped with one double bedroom and one room with bunks,Open plan kitchen /sitting room .Balcony ,Lovely pool area and grounds.Owners have great knowledge of the local area and a wealth of information /recommendations for day trips, markets, beaches and other excursions. Lovely apartment in an excellent location

I have been renting from this owner for many years and they have been nothing less than helpful and accommodating. The apartment itself is in an excellent location and has a beautiful outlook over the landscaped gardens across to Cap Ferrat. There is access to an excellent swimming pool and a nice cafe for drinks and light meals. Villefrance is gorgeous and there are a wide selection of restaurants and bars around its pretty harbour. The apartment is ideally placed for day trips along the Cote d'Azur and even up into Italy, with both bus and train links nearby. Great value for money considering the location and the abundance of beautiful places to visit.

    What a fantastic location

We have been staying in this apartment for the last couple of years and couldn't recommend it more highly. It's so well located to Beaulieu, Cap Ferrat and Villefranche; all a walking distance away. Apartment is comfortable with a generous balcony. Ample car parking if you bring one. Fabulous pool and a very secure location.

    Comfortable apartment

As other reviewers have said this is a lovely part of the world. We have been holidaying in Villefranche for 10 years. The apartment is situated in a Pierre et Vacances complex. A nice swimming pool is one floor up. The balcony has nice views over gardens and Cap Ferrat. Apartment is well equipped and comfortable. The steps to the beach are steep and there are lots of them, but it is worth it when you get there!

    Excellent Highly Recommended

2nd time to Ville Franche and have stayed in this complex both times. The apartment is clean, is very well equipped and has superb views of Cap Ferrat. The complex is set in lush gardens and offers a good sized pool with no shortage of loungers. There is an excellent poolside snack bar serving drinks, ice-cream and hot food. The beach is a 5 min walk away and access to public transport same. Loved Monte Carlo and Eze. Would also recommend a visit to Ventimiglia, thoroughly enjoyed the Friday market. Bill, the owner is an excellent host and was always on hand if needed. Would definitely recommend the resort and the apartment.

    Great accommodation in excellent location.

Apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Wonderful view from the balcony over the lovely gardens and Cap Ferrat. The swimming pool area and sun terraces have views over the lovely bay of Villefranche. Plenty of sunbeds, no need to get up early to get one.
The location of apartment complex is ideal for transport links with buses going to Nice,Monaco and Menton, bus stops in road just outside L'Ange Gardien. From Nice you can easily travel onto Cannes, Grasse and Antibes The railway station in Villefranche is only a few minutes walk away and gives access to many other places, Monaco, with its famous casino, Cafe de Paris, world famous marina and Royal Palace, is only fifteen minutes away by train.
Villefranche is beautiful particularly the old town and has many fine restaurants.Favourites were Le Serre, Le Cote Jardin and Le Grignotiere, all of which served delicious inclusive three course meals for eighteen euros.
There are many sightseeing attractions and cultural experiences to enjoy in the surrounding area.
    Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here.

    Excellent Accomodation

The apartment in Villefrance-sur-mer is an excellent location with a high standard of amenities, situated in a safe secure complex within commutable distance to Nice.
We arrived late on Friday night from the airport and were able to access the apartment right away, to find it clean, comfortable and well equipped. There was ample room for four people, with British TV and excellent Wifi.

The balcony has a beautiful view of the gardens and the apartment is a very short walk to the beach and small town. The accommodation is in a perfect location to visit the Cote D'Azur, and Cap Ferret is also within walking distance - the whole are is beautiful with lots of different ports and harbours to visit. You can also visit the big cities of Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice & Menton from the bus routes outside the apartment. However probably more advisable to take the train to Cannes as the bus journey is long.

Overall we could not fault the apartment and the proprietor made every effort to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything at hand. We would certainly recommend this apartment and come back to such a beautiful area.

    Wonderful Pied-à-terre

This apartment seems ideal for most people to enjoy a good holiday at any time of year. There were just 2 of us for the whole of March 2016 and we had a lovely time and found plenty to do. We had a car but I do not think it necessary for mobile people. Parking was easy and safe.

The apartment is in a large complex of apartments but all arranged to be quite private and stands in a tropical garden. There is a lift to all floors. The outlook is very pleasant overlooking the garden and pond with fountains and sea glimpse.

Electric heaters allow warmth in winter and ceiling fan is there for summer months. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining. A big bonus for English speakers is several British TV channels. The WiFi works well. The apartment is in very good condition, and was nice and clean when we arrived. When one of the light bulbs burned out, we were able to contact the owner, who had a helpful young woman come by to provide another.

The toilet with cold water basin is in a small separate room from the room with the bathtub with showerhead and wash basin.

The apartment itself is a good size, but not large. The 2nd bedroom with bunkbeds seems a bit tight. There is some storage, but less than some might desire. The balcony is very nice, though those with small children would be advised to keep an eye on them. In fact, this place is not ideal for small children.

There is a lovely swimming pool open in season with plenty of sunbathing areas and the most gorgeous view of the bay below. There is a small 'lending library' in the comfortable foyer with books in various languages.

Outside the grounds there is a path with steps leading to Villefranche beach in 5 or 10 minutes and thus access to old town. Going the other direction on foot 10 minutes will bring you to Beaulieu which has a train station, shops, supermarkets, banks etc as well as a delightful promenade, beach and harbour. Several tourist attractions are within walking distance.

This place is good value for money, especially considering the location; one of the most desirable destinations in France. We have no hesitation recommending this apartment and would come again ourselves.
