What a fantastic 4 days. Great weather and great food/wine. Great location and accommodation. Mel and Mark are great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Gite - La Bucaille
We had a wonderful week here - the cottage was perfect, very close to long sandy beaches. Mel and Mark were very friendly. There are some very good golf courses within 40 mins. Wherever we go in the future, we hope we can find a place and hosts like this - it was just as the website said and you don't always get that.

Gite - La Bucaille
We had a lovely, relaxing time at La Bucaille. Bayeux Tapestry absolutely beautiful. Town and cathedral very good. D-Day beaches, memorials and cemeteries essential visit. All beaches in local area very good for those evening strolls before returning to the gite for a few glasses of wine in front of a roaring fire - superb!

Gite - La Bucaille
Thanks for a great welcome and continuing hospitality. We had a wonderful time here, we liked the cottage very much. We enjoyed local restaurants and market (on Wednesdays). We are sure this beautiful gite will be popular and we will find it difficult to book when we want to come back.

Gite La Bucaille
What a fantastic Gite! Self contained with many lovely surprises. Our favorite part has been from sitting by the wood fire to taking nice long walks along the beaches. The Gite is in a great location central to La-Haye-Du-Puits, Bretteville and Carteret. Would definitely return and explore what we haven't seen. Bernadette and party, London - January 09

Gite- La Bucaille
As soon as we opened the front door it became apparent that this was no ordinary Gite, it was very special! The whole feeling of the place was of comfort and relaxation. It is very well equipped, We spent perfect winter days walking on the wonderful beaches with our German Shepherd Dog, and totally relaxing evenings in front of a roaring fire.
