From the moment you arrive at Faysselle, we hope that you will just know you have found the perfect place for your holiday!
The situation is peaceful with no passing traffic, the gites are well-equipped and offer an attractive and comfortable environment for you to spend your time. Not that you will be spending much time indoors, of course! When you are not lazing by the lovely pool, playing badminton, snooker or boules with the kids, or drinking the odd glass of wine on your terrace you may want to take some 'me' time to wander through past the natural pond, to our large field, carpeted with wild flowers in the early summer, and down to the stream, and just enjoying the silence interrupted only by birds calling or the occasional tractor.
There is so much to do for all ages in the Lot et Garonne, We have some beautiful medieval villages to visit, colourful markets with abundant local produce, restaurants to suit every taste (and we could tell you the routes into town so you don't have to admit to the kids that there is a McDonalds!) watersports of all sorts for the active, or maybe a hire a boat for a river cruise when you want to take it easy in the heat of the day. Parc Walibi theme park is popular with all the family, and there is also a water park and an adventure park. Golf, riding, fishing, go-karting, bowling; if you want it, we will make an effort to find it for you!
Our three gites sleep 2-16 and are as follows:-
COUCHANT sleeps 6 and is an 'upside down' gite. On the ground floor are two bedrooms (one double, one twin - which stay beautifully cool in the hot summers), one bath/shower/wc and one shower/wc. Upstairs is a large open plan living/dining area with spectacular beams. It has comfy sofas, a dining table and chairs for 8, and satellite tv/dvd. The oak kitchen has everything you could want - dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob, microwave, a large fridge/freezer and a second fridge (well, you've got to keep the beer cool somewhere!) Up a separate staircase is the third (twin) bedroom, always bagged first by the kids for its feeling of being slightly 'away' from the parents (and yet still within earshot!!)
French doors lead from the living room out to the front terrace and garden. Outdoor dining is the norm here from May-September, and you will be able to barbecue your dinner in the shade of the walnut tree while you watch the sun slip below the horizon.
LEVANT sleeps 4 and has a large living/dining room with attractive beams. There is a dining table and chairs for 6, comfy sofas and satellite tv/dvd/vhs. The oak kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven and hob, and large fridge/freezer. There is a wood-burning insert fire for cooler autumn and winter evenings, which re-circulates into the upstairs bedroom. A door leads out to the terrace and barbecue, and you can eat your dinner in the shade of a rose/honeysuckle/vine-covered pergola.
Upstairs is one double and one twin bedroom, and an attractive shower room.
Levant and Couchant are next door to each other, but their terraces are on opposite sides of the building so you retain your privacy. In addition, Couchant has a large covered terrace in front of the house which can be used for eating together if Levant and Couchant are hired by two families who want to spend their holiday together, but not necessarily live in each pockets! These two gites are 50m from the pool.
GRAND SOLEIL sleeps 6, and is adjacent to the pool - ideal for parents who want to keep a closer eye on their children swimming.
Downstairs is an airy kitchen with cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. It is foreseen that a new kitchen will be installed ready for 2009 season, with the addition of a dishwasher! There is also a shower/wc downstairs. A door leads out to the large terrace with barbecue.
Upstairs is one double bedroom with views towards our neighbouring 11th century church, one twin and one triple room. There is also a bath/shower/wc
