Description
'La Jolie Maison' is a 2 bedroom Gite sleeping up to 4, It is attached to the main 'Maison de Maitre' style property, in the centre of a small, but fairly lively village, not far from various touristic towns and attractions. i.e La Rochelle, Ile De Ré, Fontenay Le Comte, Puy Du Fou, Marais poitevin, to name just a few.
We are open all year round. (heated through the winter)
The Gite offers you 2 charming bedrooms, (both with ensuites) both on the first floor, 1 room has a 140 size double bed and the other room has 2 single beds.(90 )
On the ground floor of the Gite. you have a private entrance, leading to the stairs/seating area to the bedrooms (both with shower/toilets) then on the right you have a kitchen/diner and next to that is a lounge with Satelite TV (freeview).
Outside you have a private covered terrace and courtyard, which then leads down to the Garden.
There is also another gite on site that sleeps up to 4 and is wheelchair friendly, so perfect if you want to holiday together 'en Famille' (up to 8 persons in the 2 gites altogether)
We offer private parking in our courtyard. Our large and rustic garden with above ground Pool is open to all, with plenty of places to sit quietly and enjoy the sun or shade with a good book and/or a good bottle of wine!. Also on site is a table tennis table, table football.
We live on site too, so are on hand to answer any questions or help with any problems when needed. After living here of 14 years now, we have a good extensive knowledge of the area and can direct you to many places of interest and beauty.
We are situated close to the medieval town of Fontenay le Comte, in a very popular tourist area of the Vendée, benefiting from a warm, sunny microclimate, driven by the Gulf Stream. It's only forty-five minutes drive to the Atlantic Coast. The famous re-enactment Park, The Puy du Fou, is only a short drive away, ONLY JUST UNDER AN HOUR AWAY
There is free Wi-Fi at La Jolie Maison and all towels and bed linen are included in the price.
We offer evening meals on occasional nights, please check if available when booking.
Plus we can offer a 'Breakfast Panier' at reasonable rates should you require one. Please order in advance.

Directions
If you are traveling by motorway (A83) you can exit on;
Exit 7.1, Turn left at roundabout upon exit of the motorway onto the D949, follow road for approx 4-5 kms, go over the motorway. On your left your will see 7 wind turbines, you will come to a roundabout, turn left here to Le Langon.D30(be careful as the road off of the roundabout is a bit bendy!) there Follow road 4kms until you are almost at the centre of village and you see a large square in front of you. La Jolie Maison/Le Carabi gite is just on your left hand side, just before you get to the bend, before the large square. Look out for our Green signs on the house.
Exit 8, go left at roundabout, heading for La Rochelle, follow this road, D968, until you come to a right hand turning to Le Poire sur velluire D68.
Follow road through villages, approx 8km, you will come into Le Langon, you will then reach a tricky T-junction, turn left here, follow road round, La Jolie Maison/Le Carabi gite is just on your left hand side before you get to the bend before the large square. Look out for our Green signs on the house.
