Description
We offer a family friendly pyrenees gite/house to rent either as a whole, sleeping up to 14, or as B&B rooms, set in stunningly beautiful countryside. The house is a lovely restored 18th Century farmhouse with 5 bedrooms (3 of which are en-suite), two sitting rooms, a dining room and a large family kitchen, so we are able to cater for large extended families or groups. For those with children we offer the use of a wide selection of toys and play equipment, so they are entertained while you relax and sunbathe on our sun terrace, enjoy the shade of our orchard, or have a dip in the above ground pool to cool you off. Activities to suit all ages are available nearby, or simply take in the sights and sounds of the Ariege in the heart of Cathar-country; you can drive to the beach on the Mediterranean Sea within 2 hours, use the local lake, or even go duty-free shopping in Andorra within 90 minutes, with the renowned Spa towns of Ax-les-Thermes and St Lizier less than an hour away.
To the front of the house there is a lawn area with well-matured trees, while to the rear is a spacious and secure south facing garden, complete with a play area with swings, slide and trampoline for the enjoyment of our younger guests, as well as a 20 tree fruit orchard for them to explore. There is an undercover patio and plenty of grassed areas for the garden furniture where refreshments can be served.
We have a sun terrace, with sunbeds to accommodate the hardiest sun worshipper, and when the sun really raises the temperature you can take a dip in our 8m by 4m above ground swimming pool, which has a security gate and fence for the safety of the younger guests.
There are two wooden patio tables and chairs, complete with umbrellas and cushions, and use of a BBQ for those warm evenings.
As well as a selection of books for our guests to read, there is a range of DVDs for you to borrow during your stay.
Regrettably we are not in a position to offer accommodation to any guest that may have serious mobility restrictions as all guest rooms on are on the first and second floor.
