Description
Welcome to Penlan Gites, bright, spacious, well equipped accommodation for couples to relax in the stunning Amorique National Park. Central Location for all types of holiday. Touring the historical towns, visiting long sandy beaches, cycling, walking, horse riding, photography and fishing are all easily accessible from this central location.
The Gîtes are part of a newly converted stone barn; generously spacious, single storey, open plan, quality accommodation for two people, with the option of an additional separate bed which could be for a third adult.
Set in a beautiful country location, only a short drive to pretty village of Lopérec, just five minutes from more shops and facilities and only ten minutes drive from one of the main express routes through Brittany.
The gites are single storey with light, airy, open plan interior and adjacent off road parking. Newly decorated and furnished in a relaxed, fresh, country style. English speaking owners live on site in the main farmhouse.
Suitable for all year round use with full electric heating included, and wood-burner fire, ideal for chilly evenings and winter breaks. Bed-linen and towels are 100% cotton and pillows and duvets are non feather.
Laundering is with non bio’ products and line dried in the fresh air whenever possible. Initial basic supplies of tea/coffee, milk, fresh bread, butter, olive oil, salt & pepper, French cheese and bottle of wine are all included and will be waiting in your Gîte for your arrival. Cleaning materials provided.
Open plan interiors of approx 60sq metres includes one large bedroom, living area, dining area, fully fitted kitchen and shower room.
The bedrooms have king size beds. By arrangement, an additional bed can be added to main living space, for non couples or, to accommodate a third person at no extra charge.
Generously sized shower rooms with extra large, solid, tiled, walk-in shower. Flat round full overhead shower and separate hand held directional shower head and, opaque glass door. Includes WC, basin, mirror, window, heated towel rail and tiled floor.
The dining and kitchen areas includes dining table and chairs, gas stove and oven, electric fridge with freezer box. Electric kettle and toaster. Cafetiere, teapot and general cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. New kitchen units and worktops. S/Steel sink and mixer tap.
Open plan interior with large lounge areas. Three piece suite, coffee table, rugs, tiled floors, main and side lights, curtains at all windows, wood burner fire with first basket chopped wood included, TV/DVD/CD player. A glass front door leads out to a terrace garden with seating overlooking the Douffine river Valley.

Location description
The Gites are situated in the Amorique national Park which cuts across the centre of Finistere in Western Brittany. It is a central location to explore a diverse range of scenery from the Hills of the Mont D’Arree to the sandy beaches and rugged coast of the Crozon Peninsula.
Finistere provides a mix of forests, fast flowing rivers, hills and long sandy beaches and rocky coastal paths (something for everyone). Historical Towns and villages are in abundance through the region. Quimper is the main city and is one of the most stunning. Streets of Medieval buildings, shops and restaurants.
The Nantes Brest Canal runs through the picturesque town of Chateaulin and provides walking and cycling as far as you want along the tow path. It is a great location for fishing or kayaking for the more energetic.
Brittany has more than a third of France's coastline and ranges from rocky cliffs to vast sandy beaches. Footpaths allow access to most parts of the coast, making for some interesting and varied walking. The sandy beaches of the Crozon peninsula provide the ideal location to relax and swim.
The local village of loperec has a restaurant, bar and shop, while Pont de Buis in the other direction has a supermarket, pharmacie, banks, boulangeries as well as restaurants and bars. Pleyben is ten minutes away and is a beautiful market town famous for its church. The estuary town of Le faou just 15 minutes away is a must for its restaurants and Creperies, not to mention beautiful walks along the river.
The hills of the Mont D’Arree region, just ten miles away give spectacular views and a range of walking for all abilities. In this area the villages of Brasparts and Huelgoat can be visited. Huelgoat is situated by a lake and has a range of restaurants, creperies and bars.
