    Our traditional French farmhouse is a special place where you can really relax, get away from it all and let the world pass you by.

    Our 200 year old farm is based in rural France, just outside the typical French village of Miallet, Dordogne. Miallet offers a range of shops to keep you provisioned for your stay and excursions further a field will offer a wider range of café and restaurants for you to try. Larger supermarkets are a short drive away.

    Our Farmhouse accommodation set in 56 acres of woodland and fields within the Perigord National Park. Our accommodation is largely self catering, however we can provide top-qualilty evening meals by arrangement should you require them.

    Our restored farmhouse is situated in a courtyard including our home, traditional bread oven, barn, stables and various other outbuildings.

    This beautiful setting has everything to offer for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, with plenty of activities to keep children amused, allowing you all to relax and enjoy your holiday.

    We were totally blown away with the farmhouse. It’s beautiful and so well maintained. Leigh, Dave and Ethan were great hosts and helped to make our holiday special. The pool and surrounding area were really clean. Also, excellent mountain biking area for families. We’d been to Tignes last year for mountain biking and although great it was a bit too extreme for our younger children – this area was perfect.

    We have returned on lyn an hour ago and have to say what an amazing holiday we’ve had. I was blown away when we first saw the property…the pictures do not do it justice. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable the kitchen area large and well equipped. The whole place really has been very well converted and furnished. leigh and Dave were the perfect hosts and were always more than happy to help with anything we needed. The Gite is ideally located for site seeing and activities and Dave will show you some great on or off road cycle rides. Or just spend time around the perfect pool. Our son really enjoyed fishing in the lake too and caught 18 in 2 weeks!!The hot tub was very popular in the evening and there was table tennis and badminton on the lawn as well. We had a fabulous time with a mix of total relaxation and some activities. Oh and Leigh and Dave’s Pizza night..cooked in their own Pizza oven..was delicious. We will return.     Just open for business and fantastically well equipped. The kitchen was pure pleasure to work in with a brand new professional grange and every possible item of equipment including a dish washer. The living area downstairs was a very good size and the sleeping arrangements for our three grandchildren their parents and us were more than adequate with plenty of showers mainly en suite.
    The pool was a great hit with the children and there is also a hot tub and there was table tennis badminton boules and a vast garden. If you fish there is a lake and the surrounding countryside is beautiful with prolific bird life moths and butterflies wild flower meadows but no mosquitoes. Watch out though for horse flies.
    There is much to do and visit in the surrounding area and we took a train to Limoges for the day to see the city which was well worth it.
    The host family are delightful friendly but not intrusive. They have a pizza oven and cooked us pizzas one evening when we had visitors and our numbers reached fifteen people.
    You really could not do better if you have the numbers in your party to justify the cost of this first class unit. Michael M, Hermanus, West Cape, South Africa.

    At the end of a farm track, just 30 km from Limoges airport and in the luscious and beautiful countryside of the Dordogne, awaits a relaxed and welcoming haven. For everyone there is an expertly and tastefully converted spacious farm house with a pizza oven across the courtyard, a cacophony of bird song amongst the tranquility, ever available and friendly hosts and all the vintage and mod cons including a fantastic heated swimming pool and jacuzzi and DVDs, tv and wifi if needed. Esp. for families there’s a well thought out and very safe layout, chickens, ducks, frogs, toads, a fishing lake, a well manicured and massive field right at the back of the house, woods, table tennis, bikes, toys and, best of all, nearby lakes with life-guarded sandy beaches, shallow shelving shores and a range of water sports. Supermarkets, boulangeries and otheries and cash machines are also a short drive away. Thank you Dave, Leigh and Ethan for a wonderful holiday. We are booking for next year. Stepmarks, Glasgow, UK

    We had a lovely time in this beautifully restored farmhouse which has the benefit of all mod cons whilst still retaining the character of the 200 year old farmhouse that it is. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Located in a tiny hamlet with wonderful views over surrounding countryside which makes for a relaxing time if that’s what you want but there are plenty of activities on offer too by the owners Leigh and Dave….’if the kids are happy’….and there’s a lovely large pool which although heated we weren’t brave enough to dive into in April!! Not too far away are the pretty viligaes of Brantome and Bourdeilles and some lovely lakes with beaches for bathing which are all well worth visiting. Friday is market day in Brantome.
