Description
Wherry Cottage is a 2-bedroom cottage (twin and double) with river and bridge views from 3 aspects. Your own private parking space within our secure car park. The large entrance porch / cloakroom is useful for storing wet or muddy fishing or boating gear. This opens into an open-plan kitchen / diner / living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The living room has a two-seat sofa and 2 seat sofa-bed and a single leather armchair and 32" widescreen Feeview TV / DVD. Wall mounted radiant electric bar fire, great for winter fishing and electric wall-mounted radiators in every room. The French doors open out onto your private, raised, covered, terrace with bistro table and garden chairs. The cottage is surrounded by shared landscaped gardens, and free fishing (in season) is available along 100m of river bank and around the marina. Parking is within a secure parking area close to the cottage. You also have use of our private 45ft x 12ft mooring for your own or hired boat
Upstairs, the stairs, landing and both bedrooms have news carpets for 2024. The very spacious double bedroom has a large walk in wardrobe, solid pine bedroom suite, and a 19" TV / DVD (Freeview). The twin bedroom also has a large built-in wardrobe, dressing table and 19" TV / DVD (Freeview). The bathroom has been recently refurbished and has a full-size bath with electric shower over. The wash-basin has a mirror / light / shaver socket. All rooms are full standing ceiling height.
The cottage has excellent high speed free WiFi. All rooms have thermostatically controlled wall-mounted electric convector heaters. All hot water and electricity is now included in the price; so no hidden extras.

Location description
Wroxham is considered to be the capital of the Norfolk Broads and where the holiday industry started. It is now a large bustling village with plenty to do and see. Just a minute form the cottage is the marinas own bistro, The Shed. A 5 minute walk brings you over the iconic Wroxham bridge to the main centre where you can book your tickets to go on sightseeing boat tours, hire day boats, visit the angler's store, or have lunch in one of the many riverside pubs, restaurants and cafes. There's a large supermarket and all the essential facilities you could want.

Directions
By Car:
All major routes need to connect to the Norwich ring road, and then follow a common 7-mile local road to Wroxham (see below)
From London and the South:
M25 to M11 towards Cambridge, and take the next junction (J9) 15 miles after Bishop’s Stortford onto the A11 to Norwich. Approaching Norwich cross the A47 and continue into Norwich until the ring round and turn left onto it. (then see local route below)
From the West & North:
Join the A47 at King’s Lynn (gateway into Norfolk) towards Norwich and leave it at Norwich Showground, A1074 and head towards Norwich City. At Norwich ring road turn left onto it and then continue on local route below
From Norwich ring road: (local route)
Follow the ring road and take the A1151 (brown Tourist sign to Wroxham) approx 8 miles to Wroxham & Hoveton. After crossing over the railway bridge and mini roundabout, on entering Wroxham, take the second right turn into The Avenue. After about 100yds take a left turn into Staitheway Road and follow this down towards the boatyard. At a sharp right bend carry straight on into the private signed “Peninsula Cottages”. Follow the road to the left to the boat crane. The Reception Office* is signed “Faircraft Loynes NBD ARRIVALS” in the corner of the building opposite the crane.
By Train:
Use your own chosen mainline route to Norwich Station. Then use the Greater Anglia local route towards Sheringham, just 2 stops to Hoveton & Wroxham Station. Peninsula Cottages are about a 15 minute pleasant walk. You start to see the cottages from the bridge. The Reception Office* is signed “Faircraft Loynes NBD ARRIVALS” in the corner of the building opposite the crane.

By Coach / Bus:
Take your own chosen main coach / bus service to Norwich Bus Station. Then from St Stephen’s Street just outside the bus station take First Eastern Counties No:14, Neaves No:32, or Anglian Bus & Coach No:123, local bus services to Wroxham, alighting just after Wroxham Bridge at Roy’s in the village centre. It is then a pleasant 10-minute walk past the Broads Tours ticket office and over the bridge.
