Pudding is atmospherically set in the heart of Beatrix Potter's Lake District with the lovely towns of Ambleside and Windermere within a few minutes' drive. The cottage is tucked away up a farm road and nestles amongst a group of lakeland stone buildings that formed the original coach house and stables for the 1st Earl of Lonsdale in the late 18th Century.
Pudding provides spacious family friendly accommodation for six people (plus a baby) and has been beautifully decorated and equipped with all mod cons to offer a luxurious yet homely holiday experience. Cooking and eating together as a family is a pleasure in the traditional farmhouse-style dining kitchen and a wide window seat overlooking the lawn provides a comfy spot for a quiet cuppa or glass of wine. The bright and spacious living room offers plenty of space for children to play with the toys, games and craft box provided, plus there's the bonus of a X box 360 games console, in addition to the TV, DVD, and CD players.
The landscaped communal gardens attract a wide range of wildlife and many a guest has been delighted to spy our resident Jemima Puddle-ducks waiting for breakfast at the back door or Peter Rabbit and friends hopping across the lawns!
We are extremely proud of the personal holiday experience we aim to provide at Pudding and are thrilled that many of our guests agree! The cottage has won a host of awards including 'Cumbria Cottage of the Year' and Tripadvisor's 'Best Vacation Rental Award 2011/12and2013 and welcomes returning guests year after year!
