Description
Our two bedroom Cottage offers excellent accommodation for four people, with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, comfortable lounge with open fireplace, dining room, modern kitchen and bathroom, downstairs toilet, outside seating area with BBQ facilities, gas central heating and high speed wireless internet access. Families are welcome to stay and so are members of your extended family... the pets!
The Cottage is accessed through a state of the art keyless entry system leading into the Entrance Hall. This simple system means you have the freedom to not worry about carrying keys with you during your stay. The Cott age has full gas central heating and is fully equipped.
The comfortable and stylish Lounge has a beautiful traditional cast iron open fireplace with slate hearth, lovely three piece suite, oak flooring and traditional window shutters. There is a 32" HD LCD television, DVD surround sound system and a collection of books, games, DVDs and free high speed internet access for your entertainment.
The Dining Room comfortably seats four people and has an original open grate fireplace with bread oven, wood surround, marble hearth and dining table and chairs. The room benefits from an original beamed ceiling, oak flooring and has access to the outdoor seating area with BBQ facilities.
The attractive modern Kitchen is fitted with a range of white wall and base units with wooden work surfaces. It has integrated appliances including an electric oven with gas hob and extractor hood, microwave, fridge and freezer, washing machine and family sized dishwasher. The kitchen leads to the downstairs cloakroom/WC.
The Master Bedroom has a lovely wooden double bed with matching bed side tables, a built in storage cupboard with hanging space and chandelier lighting. The room has two windows with traditional panelled shutters and window seats offering beautiful views over the River Coquet and the attractive bridges in West Thirston/Felton. There is also a chest of drawers/dressing table and wall mounted 19" LCD TV with freeview and ipod dock.
The modern Bathroom has a panelled bath with hand held mixer shower head plus electric shower over, shower screen, wash hand basin, low level WC, tiled walls and flooring, vanity mirror and heated towel radiator.
The Second Bedroom has twin beds and a cast iron open grate fireplace and surround, a built in cupboard offering hanging space and a chest of drawers.

Location description
This lovely period Cottage is situated in an idyllic rural village and offers views over the River Coquet, perfect for a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
Just yards from the front door is the riverbank, with miles of beautiful riverside walks leading into the stunning countryside.
A range of amenities including local shops, post office, caf and a charming country pub with restaurant are all within easy walking distance of the property. There are numerous local tourist attractions, riverside walks and scenic countryside within the immediate vicinity. Don't forget to bring some bread along to feed the ducks by the river! Riverside Cottage is the ideal base to explore all that Northumberland has to offer, from it's famous castles and award-winning beaches to walks, cycling, golf, water sports and fishing or one of the county's many attractions.
Tourist attractions
There are a huge number of tourist attractions in Northumberland from Alnwick Castle (Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films) to Puffin cruises and the stunning Alnwick Gardens.
Directions
Finding the Cottage couldn't be easier; it is conveniently located just a mile from the A1, the main road through the county of Northumberland. It is easily accessible from the North and South of the country. Located approx 25 miles North of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne between the historic Market Towns of Morpeth and Alnwick. The village is served by frequent public transport.
