    Description

    The cottage has been sypathetically restored and finished to the highest standards with luxury fittings and accessories.

    The cottage, which provides spacious dwelling for two and further sleeping for two on a sofabed, makes a peaceful and cosy hideaway or ideal base for exploring the regions countryside and coastlines. It has every comfort and modern convenience but still retains the rustic charm of the original cottage built around the turn of the 19th century in the grounds of an ancient castle.

    This cottage cannot be compared to most rural Brittany cottages where the standard of finish and accessories can be somewhat lacking. The owners have made this a home from home with broadband WI-FI, Sky, Wide Screen TV and top quality appliances thoughout.

    Bedding, towels and the general contents are all of the highest quality.

    However once you go outside you are in a completely rural area where normally the only sounds are those from the local farm. There is a small garden which is private and not overlooked by any other property or persons.

    Location description

    The cottage is situated on the edge of a traditional village, Trebrivan, and ten minutes by car from the market town of Carhaix with many shops, bars and restaurants.

    Nearby is the Nantes/Brest canal, a historic waterway meandering through the Breton countryside and perfect for walking and cycling. The Black hills criss-crossed with footpaths are close by and just beyond, the moorland area of Monts d'Are. The north, west and south coasts are within an easy one hours drive.

    Directions

    Approx 35 minutes south from Roscoff or approx 1 hour 30 minutes from St Malo. We always try and use Brittany Ferries as its a nice overnight trip with a good resturant on both boats and you will need a car at the Cottage.
