Description
On your arrival at Kath's Cottage you'll receive a warm welcome, and to relieve your journey, there is homemade bread and cake.
Kath's Cottage is a warm, quaint and cosy cottage with stunning views over the Kent countryside.
Perfectly situated within the beautiful Kent countryside and on the edge of the historic town of Tonbridge, our area is blessed with many National Trust and English Heritage.
Places I would recommend - Hever Castle - childhood home of Anne Boleyn.
Penshurst Place, Igitham Mote, Dover Castle to name but a few.
Tonbridge itself has its very own medieval castle perched high above and overlooking the River Medway.
It was said that Anne Boleyn -Henry Vlll 2nd wife recruited most of her army from Tonbridge as the men from this area were good archers.
Tonbridge castle hosts many events during the summer months, normally ending in a fantastic firework display.
ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS is 20 minute by car away or train 10 minutes.
T.Wells is a spa town the Pantiles is a must with the Georgian architect and the Dippers dispensing the famous spa water.
During the summer evenings there is a brilliant Jazz concert on every Thursday evening for free.... highly recommended.
Sit outside, relax and watch the birds, butterflies and bees working their magic among the Lavender and flower beds.
LONDON is easily accessible with just a 35 minute train journey from Tonbridge station.
London Bridge - for the famous London Bridge or short walk to Tower Bridge
or Waterloo East - for Westminster Abbey, London Eye or just walk along the South Bank.

Guestbook
" SIMPLY THE BEST "
We have just spent our second stay in the wonderful "Kath's Cottage. The cottage is quaint, warm and cosy, very well furnished with the guests every need and more catered for.
We arrived to a lovely and sincere welcome from Bev and John, waiting for us in the cottage were cheese scones, victoria sandwich cake and a loaf of bread all baked by Bev which were delicious. In the fridge Bev had left milk, butter, eggs, cheese and two bottles of water how good is that!
We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone believe me you would have a hard job to find anything better.
There are many National Trust properties and gardens very close by. Tonbridge Castle is well worth a visit, There are some good local shops very close to the cottage.
Bev and John thank you for everything, you are very special people who we are proud to call our friends.
If everyone was as kind as you what a better and happier world this would be.
A small home from home
This wonderful little cottage is tucked away in a quiet spot at the bottom of the owners' garden. It is furnished comfortably and has everything you could possibly wish for a great holiday, the garden is a delight, being very bird friendly, it was lovely to relax over breakfast at the outdoor table and chairs and listen to the birdsong.
The location is close to many places of interest and lots of National Trust properties. Hadlow, the nearby village has an excellent Portuguese restaurant and an interesting café/antiques shop with very good coffee. Nearby Hadlow college has a beautiful garden, which is free, you can also buy their produce at the farm shop.
Beverley and John are very friendly and nothing is too much bother, on arrival you are greeted by a fridge stocked with the essentials [milk, butter, cheese and eggs] together with home made cake, scones, a loaf of crusty bread, marmalade coffe and tea.
We have stayed there for several years and have already booked for 2017, we cannot recommend it too highly
