    Fir Tree Cottage is in the middle of three at the end of a private drive with designated parking for two cars. Tucked away in a quiet location with an enclosed garden and patio, it is perfect for those looking for a peaceful get-away retreat.

    Fir Tree Cottage has been refurbished to a very high standard to give our guests present day comforts whilst retaining original features such as exposed beams and Cotswold stonework.

    There are two bedrooms - one double, one twin bedded - both carpeted, comfortably furnished and well equipped. The furniture throughout conforms to the current fire regulations.

    Stretton-on-Fosse is a quiet village on the fringe of the Cotswolds with easy links from the Roman Fosse Way (A429) to places of historical interest and quaint settlements. The conservation area of Stretton-on-Fosse has an eclectic mix of mellow Cotswold stone buildings - many of which are thatched.

    An enclosed porch leads into a spacious, newly furbished sitting/dining room. Original exposed beams add wonderful character to this room. A G-plan 3 piece suite with recliner armchairs and a superb Hunter log and coal burner set into the Cotswold stone fireplace make this room a treat to return to after a busy day. The fire can also heat radiators in every room. In addition, there are night storage heaters.

    The dining table and 4 padded ladder back chairs comfortably seat 4 people.

    The rear garden is private and securely fenced with beautiful views over open countryside. There is a table and chairs for 4 from where you can enjoy the many flowers and shrubs throughout the season.

    Deposit/Booking Notes

    The rental cost includes all of the following:
    Use of the accommodation and its facilities.
    All electricity for lighting and cooking (there are no coin operated meters).
    Hot water - heated by immersion heater and back boiler to fire.
    Electric Storage Heating (September to May only).
    One basket of logs in the sitting room.
    Fresh bed linen for each bed, tea towels and hand towels.
    All taxes.

    Saturday to Saturday bookings are usual but short breaks are often available.
    A 100, per week or part week, non-returnable deposit in Pounds Sterling is required with the booking, the remainder becomes payable six weeks before arrival.
    To allow time for cleaning, unless agreed otherwise, arrival should be after 4 p.m. and the property vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
